People loved the winning teams but tend to forget the troubles that followed those years. The trouble with the NCAA tends to be glossed over and just plain ignored. I thought Auburn stood for  more than that.

Can't forget Tee's team mate Monk Montgomery then.  Both played when the frosh had their own schedule in '66 and the freshmen class that season was outstanding. 

Rudy Davlos was the frosh coach and it was a common perception in that day that the frosh were better than the varsity... but the coaches would not let them play each other in a serious game.
