It's that time of year again - the sportscasters are telling us how the season will go, but you know something they don't. Maybe it's just a gut feeling, but as far as you are concerned: it will happen. So tell us about it.

Make your boldest college football related prediction. Not a wimpy prediction that you know will likely come true (e.g. "Auburn Beats Vandy!") or one that many people believe anyway (e.g. "Mark Rict is a goner after this season!" (which in fact many believed last season at this time, but obviously didn't happen)), but a prediction that nobody else but you expects to happen. Maybe something that you have a gut feeling about, that defies logical thinking. College Football related of course, could be game outcomes, coach issues, final schedules, etc. But after the season, we can revive this thread and see how our predictions turned out.

In any case, here are the rules:

No flaming on the thread. If you don't agree with someones Mark My Word prediction and want to tell them how stupid they are, take it to another thread. This is just for predictions. One exception: you may flame someone who makes a wimpy prediction.

Most importantly: you must begin each prediction with "Mark My Word". Because you're sure of it. (And it's in the spirit of the thread.) And you don't have to explain why you believe the way you do (although you can elaborate if you want).

No edits once the season begins (thanks banditmwp) - although I doubt people would change their predictions to match the season, just want to make it clear.

Mark My Word: Arkansas loses to Mississippi State. You heard me.

Mark My Word: Tennessee beats Bama, saving Dooley's job.

Mark My Word: Overrated USC loses three games in the regular season. (Ok, not so bold, but against most sportscaster's prognostications...)

I hope people can get past the following MMWs by knowing how long I've been on this site (five years) and that I am generally never a pessimist.

You don't have to yell about my non-Auburn fanish picks. I just feel really negative about the season, more so than I ever have. Full disclosure though, the year that Tuberville got fired I thought we would win the NC that year, so I'm pretty terrible at predictions.

I think it might be how the coaches let out soooo little information from Practice that the only good thing that I feel like I've heard is the latest quotes from Corey and Jake Holland.

You're not the only one. I feel pessimistic about this season too. For some reason I actually felt better about last season than I feel about this season.
