Japan debating constitutional restriction to collective self-defense

Interesting development to say the least. I'd say we can certainly use the help.

While I think Abe has been good for Japan; I can't say I agree with this approach. The Japanese constitution seems pretty clear on this point. If Japan wants to be able to take part in offensive actions; they should amend their constitution...not have some politician "re-interpret" it after it's been clear for 70 years. If 2/3 of the Japanese people think it is a good idea; so be it.
