Sent prayers for the family in a thread I started. Then stated my concerns for the societal backlash that this can cause for the officers and the neighborhoods they work with. It will not be good for either side.

My response was to the comment of trying to put blood on posters on this board and others. If you are going to do that then you have to look at the full picture, and that means both sides.

If I am sick for pointing out the very type of racial instances that separate community from police that lead to these incidents then so be it.

But that's your thing with me... if I have a different and legitimate opinion its im sick, or disturbed, or off meds, or have a problem, or I'm just making fun of someone. Think it says something that your only responses are to follow me like a puppy and go for the personal insult vs arguing the point.

micheal brown punched his own ticket, plain and simple. eric garner meant no harm to anyone but his persistence in breaking the law and his outright belligerence and resistance forced police to take him down and he died as a result. it is sad and unfortunate but he put himself there. the legal system worked as it should have in both cases. if we are to assume these cops died as a result of this legal system functionality, and the tension that has followed then there are plenty to blame and sharpton is near the top of that list.

And how much of that build up in tension leading to the outcries of the system have to do with what has been previously going on. You have to put blame there also.

Chicago PD is a perfect example. Even in the collar counties, which are predominantly white with average 6 figure incomes and strong Republican supporters as the majority, the CPD is discussed and known as a highly corrupt organization that likes to flaunt its power.

I have a aunt that very highly disagrees that the system worked properly in these cases. Her experience/thoughts comes from having worked grand juries and having been a prosecutor. She believes the system failed when a special prosecutor was not assigned for example. Due to the nature of officers and a PA, it would have been career suicide for the PA to get an indictment.
