chimesAU 89
Just saw the pic he posted. It's of both Florida and Auburn's depth charts. I wouldn't take it to mean much of anything
caleb1633 1,418
Based on recent events, I think it is safe to say that Cowart's interest in AU is legit, and we are probably better than 50/50 at getting his signature in Feb. 50/50? That's pretty bold sir.

That's pretty bold sir. I have no inside sources but from everything I have seen he is between us and Florida. I don't expect him to be a Nole next fall...so 50/50 is a pretty fair assumption as far as I'm concerned.

au_bsci_04 407
The depth chart for both is fairly equal in terms of numbers. Whether or not the quality and therefore opportunity for early PT is equal is a different story.

NachoHunter 0
Saw he had Lawson marked on there. But surely he knows with our DE deficiencies CWM would try to get them both on the field at the same time.

But surely he knows with our DE deficiencies CWM would try to get them both on the field at the same time. More likely is that they would play the same position, but would rotate a great deal. Having a guy like Lawson ahead of him would be a good thing in that he wouldn't have to be the superstar right away, but he'll still get playing time because of the need for a strong pass rusher on the field at all times... I think ideally they're both suited for the "buck position", but I could see putting both on the field in some passing situations where one is standing at the buck and the other has a hand in the dirt outside Adams and opposite Lambert. Not sure which would stand necessarily though.

With the way we rotate, that's why we have more dline depth, but to get the sacks we need players like Byron. Muschamp and Garner will let him know this.. bg5 536
"the guys who want to come with me" I caught that too. And I like the way it sounds. Maybe that's why some of these big DL prospects are giving us a new look or second look. Getting this guy could change things for our Def. for years to come. Apparently Cowart made a pact with Arden Key to visit Auburn together on the weekend of January 30th. That means that Cowart would be visiting Auburn a second time before signing day. This article is from Carvell at AJC, so you have to TIFWIW. But if true, that would tell me that we are in the driver's seat for Mr. Cowart. IronMan70 3,277
I saw that on 247, where he tweeted a pic of his chart comparison of AU/UF. The problem was that the UF roster was current but by comparison, the Auburn roster included our Seniors and walk-ons. I'm sure it will be straightened out on the 16th, but maybe someone who does twitter (I don't) should tell him that. I would think the sooner he knows that, the better.
