I don't think he will retire at AU because if he truly wanted that he would've said he would like to be at AU for 20 years when asked specifically.

Or maybe it would hurt his negotiating stance for the future if he had said that. Or maybe he just is leaving himself an out so people don't get all "pine box" on him. In my uneducated opinion, I feel in the back of his mind he would like to give the NFL a try but he probably wants to accomplish certain things at AU before doing that.

Hopefully our coach is smart enough to know what he doesn't know, which includes the future. He doesn't currently have plans to leave. No need to elaborate beyond that.

I'm glad that Jacobs has kept Gus happy and elevated other staff. Make no mistake, the name of the University isn't going to secure a top shelf staff all by itself.
