2016 3* ILB Elysee Mbem-Bosse (Michigan commit)

It's kind of funny, one week I read we are doing well in recruiting and the next we'll be lucky to sign anybody. I'm guessing, or at least I'm hoping it's somewhere in the middle.

I haven't heard anybody of repute say in quite some time that recruiting was going well. In fact, I think the last time I heard that was when Marlon Davidson committed right before the season opener 7 weeks ago.

CB for Auburn today so maybe things are changing with his recruitment?

A while back I commented that I could understand if the old coaches wanted him but new coaches didn't but originally our Defensive coaches were high on him. Then people in the know said they didn't like him anymore but nobody could say why. Now I hear that we are actively pursuing him again and it looks good.

I want him but I am confused.

Is the CB from someone that works for a service, and is directly involved in understanding his recruitment? If so, great, otherwise it does not necessarily mean anything at all.

If I haven't learned anything else we don't want the guys who don't have high interest in us....until they do. I don't know for sure but if you go back to Carl Lawson's recruitment thread when he said he was reevaluating after the coaching change I'd bet at least one person said they didn't want him anyway.

Seems that Bosse and Antwuan Jackson are wanting to be a package deal. Seems like good news for Auburn. And I know very little about seccountry but it seems like a good reliable site.

We should take them both

Most likely the old rope a dope..

We want you but hold up on that commitment...we got someone better we courting. Awwwww yeahhh.

While that could be understandable, if you look at the need we have at LBer plus the fact that we have room in this class right now there would be no real reason to say that. He is a quality LB and we only have 1 commit at that position in this class right now.

He's a big kid and looks like he could develop into a stud forget the rankings he looks good on film.

I am wondering with Ohio State loosing to Michigan State and could also loose to Michigan if that will take some of the luster off of Ohio State for Jackson. I know won/loss record is not always why players pick a team but with Cold Ohio weather and now Ohio State not looking like such a great team and playing in the Big Ten if it might help us. If Jackson looses some interest in Ohio State then we have an even better change of getting both of these players.

Buddies who will both announce Thursday 12/17. I see only 1 school on both lists so hopefully it's a good sign.

E. Mbem-Bosse is down to Auburn, Michigan, NC State, Oklahoma.

Being an EE he would need to commit pretty soon. Though I suppose he could just make folks wait and see where he enrolls and shows up in Jan. haha....hopefully he will join his buddy A.Jack on the Plains.s

Nah unfortunately for us he is pushing it back for the gators SMH.

Elysee Mbem-Bosse was originally slated to announce his commitment on Thursday, but the four-star linebacker called it off Wednesday evening.

“I am pushing the time back for confidential reasons,” Mbem-Bosse tweeted out. “My recruiting process is still open.”

It would appear Florida’s late push affected his timeline. On Tuesday, Mbem-Bosse told SEC Country he received a call from defensive line coach Chris Rumph indicating he had an offer on the table from the Gators.

“He called and told me I had on official offer from Florida,” Mbem-Boose said in the recent interview. “It feels great to have that, and it’s probably going to expand my recruitment.”

The 6-foot-3, 227-pound senior from Cedar Grove High School (Ellenwood, Ga.) was originally set to enroll early at his school of choice, but he indicated to SEC Country he would take an official visit to Florida in January. That will likely thwart his intentions of enrolling next month. Mbem-Bosse has already taken official visits to N.C. State, Oklahoma and Oregon.

“Florida is definitely in the mix,” Mbem-Boose said. “It’s a great school. They have top players that go there every year, and their defense is pretty nice. It’d be a great thing to be a part of.”
