Don’t hate me too much @GwillMac6, this was too funny not to post.

I can't stand Chris Paul but I'dlove for him to finally come through in the playoffs and win this first series

I used to be the same way when Paul was with the Clippers but after a full season with him in OKC I have a lot of respect for Paul now.

I never liked him, and I've enjoyed curry killing him for quite some time again.

I will never understand why Russell Westbrook is treated like this all of the time.  He deserves so much better.

Killed in a cycling accident. I hope he didn't suffer. Actually saw him in a restaurant in Montana in the late 90s. You're never prepared to see honest to goodness 7 foot tall people.

I need y'all to tell me why I shouldn't be excited about Trae Young and these Atlanta Hawks.

If Clint Capela is going to keep playing like he did last night....

Sixers better not sleep on the Hawks, for sure. Future is bright in Atlanta. I have no dogs in this playoff fight (our local squad went toes up in February), but I can't say I'm sorry to see the Lakers go fishing.

We're likely going to get some new-ish blood in the NBA Finals spotlight now, and that is a good thing for the league. The team left that has been to the Finals most recently is Dallas (2011).

Last Finals appearance for teams left standing:

76ers: 2001

Nets: 2003

Bucks: 1974

Hawks: 1961, when they were in STL

Suns: 1993

Jazz: 1998

Nuggets: Never (as an NBA team)

Clippers: Never or Mavericks: 2011

Would like to see Milwaukee send the Nets packing, but not expecting it.

You should be very excited. They have the potential to become a version of Golden st when they were on top. They have a bunch of specialist I hope they can find a guy who is all around on both ends and you don't need to substitute. I wish they could've gotten their hands on Anthony Edwards or melo ball.....that team would be so crazy.

This would be an awesome team for jalen green or Johnathan kuminga.....They should package one of their guys and a future first round and move up to get one of them. With where they are drafting at now they should go after that kid that lit it up for UCLA. I forget his name but he's a 6'7" scorer play maker.

I hope these guys are mature, Atlanta to a young rich black kid is very very enticing and there's a bunch of temptation.

He's very outspoken on racial issues, he carries himself in a very strong and proud manner; he says stuff back to the super disrespectful fans add all of that up that's why

The soccer team took the trophy to Magic City when they won the MLS Cup. At least Gold Club isn't open anymore, though...

Thanks for the thoughts on the team. Last night they looked like they could have used some athletic length against Philly but I guess that's why Joel Embiid is Joel Embiid. Man that dude is good.

Hate that De'Andre Hunter was still out. Hope he comes back soon.

That said, the game was winnable last night. Just so many unforced errors at critical times. Better team won but it wasn't as bad as the score looked IMO. Definitely can't have Trae disappear again. That Philly crowd was smart. They didn't get him going like MSG did.

@abw0004 we had a debate once and I was trying to explain to you about defense in the NBA and how you hardly ever see a great scorer get shut down. I'm not saying defense doesn't matter but compared to everything else it's not as high up on a weighted list.

You may or may not watch this but when I watched this clip it reminded me of what I was trying to explain to you. I feel Arenas did a pretty good job of explaining what happens on the actual court and what matters as opposed to just talking defense from an analytical pov

Yep. They have good shooters everywhere but I'd say only a couple of good scorers. They need a tall all around scorer to pair up with Young. That's why I said Edwards or ball would be perfect. I think if they could get that guy from UCLA though that might would really be something. But we'll see. Maybe they can get somebody in free agency

You are probably right, but when did we talk about defense?  I do agree, and because of this also think the NBA should give more defenders leeway.  I am a fan of the 80-90's regulations where you had to be tough.  I don't care for all of the flopping, even when my OKC Thunder do it.  Now I do think we should update it like keeping the rule of preventing defenders from stepping up on someone shooting in mid-air though.

We were talking about Steph curry and you kept bringing up his defense and I was saying his offense plays a big role in defense and when comparing his match up if his guy can't shut him down does the fact that some people may say he's a good defender really matter. But this was a while ago, like I said I just saw that clip and he was literally saying the exact things that I was saying so it reminded me

That so-called "clutch gene" we hear about...championship DNA, whatever you want to call it...

Milwaukee doesn't have any.

They saw what it looked like up close and personal tonight. Durant put the Nets on his back and said "follow me."

When the game got tight, so did the Bucks. Tonight was their chance and they hacked up a hairball in the second half.

KD was otherworldly. Don't love the guy but an all timer of a performance.

Giannis just needs to stop shooting threes.  The three games he tried a bunch of 3's are the same ones the Bucks lost.  I feel like he is trying too hard to be on the same level as KD.  His strengths are different, and he needs to realize this.

He's just that guy. If you really want to know who those guys are you watch how the other players move around him. He's just an alpha. He's not even 100%.......He's unreal.

I told my wife early in the game, we need to sit here and enjoy this. This is some MJ ish.

Toughest pro basketball ticket in Atlanta in many a year coming up on Friday night.

If Milwaukee hacked up a hairball last night, Philly puked up the whole damned cat tonight...combine that with a young Hawks team that kept chopping wood and you get tonight. This isn't the first time a Doc Rivers team has collapsed at home in a big playoff game (Game 6 in 2015 vs. the Rockets), either.

For an unaffiliated dude like me, the Hawks are an easy team to root for, and I'm rooting for them to finish off Philly.
