But once Kat’s hair came down, I could figure out what was going on. Edited October 29, 2019 by ShocksMyBrain

Regardless, we’ll hit our 31 this year for the first time since we’ve been attempting the challenge. You *HAVE to watch Chopping Mall. It's on Amazon Prime. *By "have to" I mean you really shouldn't.
ToraGirl 5,498
My favorites can depend upon my mood. Silly: "Dumb and Dumber", "Napoleon Dynamite", "Nacho Libre", "Flushed Away", "The Emperor's New Groove", "Night at the Museum" Sentimental: "The Sound of Music", "Forrest Gump", "Remember the Titans", "The Blind Side" Classic series: "Back to the Future", "Indiana Jones", "National Treasure" Mixed bag of emotions, and usually pseudo-historical: "Life is Beautiful", "The Patriot", "Gladiator", Soundtrack: "Forrest Gump", "Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion", "The Wedding Singer" Waxing nostalgic for Europe: "Made of Honor", "Notting Hill", "Under the Tuscan Sun", "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" I can't remember anything serious off the bat...maybe because this week's been so dadgum heavy. One I want to see...Tom Hanks starring as Mr. Rogers ("A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood")

I think it’s a great mix of horror and comedy. It’s done by the same person that did Trick R Treat which is one of my favorite Halloween movies of all time.

alexava 6,973
Always been a Tombstone fan ( like most). But I just watched Wyatt Earp , Kevin Costner movie this week for the first time ever. This is pretty good too. Probably more aligned with the real truth historically.

The log truck scene is forever burned in my memory, and I always make sure to get around log trucks as quickly and safely as possible when I’m on the road. Same here ... I was petrified driving home after seeing this. Saw the late show and was after midnight driving through Montgomery back to the college dorms. McLoofus 35,182
So we've done an okay job this awards season. Knives Out, Jojo Rabbit, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Ford vs Ferrari, Marriage Story, The Irishman, Rocketman, Uncut Gems, all seen. Need to see 1917 (can't wait!), Parasite, Joker, The Farewell, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Bombshell, The Two Popes, and I need to finish Dolemite. Whew. Work to do, work to do. Really enjoyed everything on the first list. Once Upon a Time, Knives Out and Ford/Ferrari were my favorites. Oh, and uncut gems. AUBwins 10,075
I thought Togo was a nice movie talking about the Alaskan Serum run we know from Balto. Balto got the credit but this is the story about the true hero dog that ran for over 200 miles on the storm of the century. By comparison, Balto ran the last 55 miles. On Disney+. Dafoe was great in this.

Dan-0 479
I really want to see ¨1917.¨ Don´t waste your time with ¨The Lighthouse¨ unless you really like obscure art house movies where one of the lead characters talks a lot like Popeye. 😂 Edited January 22, 2020 by Dan-

It didn't quite grab me emotionally like I expected, but that might say more about me than the story. Damned good movie by any measure. Damned good. And one of the most beautiful, striking sequences I've ever seen on film. Full disclosure, I am a total sucker for war movies. I will watch The Lighthouse, but I didn't need to see it in the theater. My opportunities to see grown up movies are limited, and with only a couple exceptions throughout the year are reserved for best picture nominees. Fortunately, I also got to see Uncut Gems and Knives Out, either of which could have been nominated. Uncut Gems 100% should have been. It's insane that Sandler didn't get a best actor nom.
