Really? I could have sworn that happened at Florida. Hmm, interesting.

Thanks for clearing it up, though!

That was Byrum's kick six years later.

So of course they decided to kick the can down the road to god knows when to announce...I'm starting to think the newbies are actually going to wait til 2025. :banghead:

The following year (or maybe previous year) was the Pat Nix TD to Sanders that was right after the 4th and 10 reception on sideline. That game was in Florida.

Actually this game was 93 or 94. So we clearly don't play them enough anymore lol

10/16/93 was Calvin Jackson's coast-to-coast INT return and Scott Etheridge's game winning FG, in Auburn. 38-35

10/15/94 was Nix to Sanders, in Gainesville. 36-33

10/13/01 was Duval's kick in the rain, in Auburn. 23-20

10/14/06 was when we didn't score an offensive TD but still beat them when they went on to win the NC, in Auburn. 27-17

9/29/07 was the 2x Byrum kick, in Gainesville. 20-17

Last second field goals are a recurring theme in this series.

I have no memory of those first three, but the two wins over Urban are both in my top five favorite games all-time. So yes, we do need to play them twice every four years.

Yeah, that was Nix to Sanders Part II. That game was in 94 when we were #4 and Florida was #1. First time Spurrier lost at home to an SEC team.

That was a great moment.  Probably included a Spurrier visor throw 😆

Whenever Spurrier was the opposing coach and we did well and the camera goes to him, my dad would inevitably say, "Throw your visor, Steve! Throw your visor!"
