Bowl Game Projections

I was gonna wait till after the Vandy game but here we go.

I’ve seen a lot of Liberty Bowl and Gasperilla Bowl projections. 
 

Memphis wouldn’t be terrible.  Maybe hit Tunica the night before.  Eat some Rendezvous BBQ.  I think it’s a Saturday.  Not a terribly far drive from Bham, Huntsville, Nashville so I’d imagine a good Auburn crowd.

Liberty Bowl will be played on Friday December 29th, kickoff at 2:30 pm.

Auburn going to the Birmingham Bowl continues to be the most depressing thing ever. We get ragged on more for going to Birmingham than we do for missing a bowl.

That would be dangerous for me. Not that I have a problem setting a limit, but if I hit a groove at the poker table, I wouldn't want to get up from it. I've only played at a real casino twice, both times in Vegas, and one of those two nights I turned $500 into just under 5 grand over the course of an 8-hour binge (that started at 8 PM). I don't remember my friend taking me away from the table to go back to our room, but I woke up around 3 PM the next day hung over as hell.

So yeah, sounds like fun.

As long as the future is setting up to be better (which it wasn't under Has-been), I'll take it for the first year. But I would prefer Liberty or even Gasparilla, obv.

Maybe we need to boycott if it happens so that the PTB will get the picture that we aren't going to fill the stadium if the destination is in the same state. Send us to frickin' Shreveport before Birmingham...

You are correct. I didn't realize it, but I just looked it up, and for one more year it'll be Big 12 vs Pac-whatever. Who knows what it'll be after the Pac finishes imploding?

What I think is hilarious is that Gasparilla is BEHIND Birmingham.

If you’re in Auburn’s situation, you really just want someone that isn’t motivated or has an angle to work. Like Tulane is a better than Auburn team that will have Michael Pratt in his last game as arguably the most successful QB in their program’s modern history. They’re gonna kick some teeth out. WVU may fire their coach after the season. That’s a more favorable type of matchup to me

I really don’t care where Auburn goes.  Bham doesn’t really bother mp especially with the new stadium.  This isn’t Gus in year 3 falling on his face embarrassing.  This is Hugh in year 1 moving up.  After this year Bham Bowl would be considered an embarrassment.  If you’re the bowl people you’d probably choose Florida for the Gaspirilla bowl, if they get bowl eligible, and Auburn for Bham, Memphis.  
 

We need to hold out hope for a clean sweep the final 3 and end up in Nashville or Tampa.
