That tends to happen when you're in a state of rebuilding. How are we supposed to rebuild if we're screaming for the coach to be fired in his first year every time the first year is inevitably rough?

Yeah. Let’s use the rebuild excuse for this one

We had the players to win this game. Bad plays AND bad coaching late kept that from happening. These coaches don’t deserve a pass.

Apparently we are rebuilding from now until eternity. Rinse. Repeat.

Hugh Freeze didn't drop the damn ball and didn't let a receiver catch a ball that was in the air for FOREVER.................

We have paid tens upon tens upon tens of millions to be in no better position than we were in 2019.  Period.  I do believe that Hugh will get us back to winning, but how long that will take is anybody's guess.

I wonder how recruits are feeling about it.

Do they get emotionally invested in pulling for Auburn during the game? Does the loss help to solidify their disdain for bama and wanting to come in and turn it around? Or do they look at some of the questionable decisions and get turned off by it?

I was curious about this as well in all seriousness.

No, we made enough plays to win this game, but the players..we ain’t got.

We had players who could field a punt. Coaches put one in who couldn’t. We had players who had kept Milroe off balance with pressure all night. Coaching let him sit back and wait for a receiver to get open. Coaching tells a guy to let a high kickoff go so we have time for a few plays. Coaching results in a player running right at the heart of the coverage behind his 10.

We had the players to win this game. We didn’t have the coaching when it counted.

Well to he fair with just a few mpre players we would have won this one handily. Probably the Geprgia game too.  I give Freeze credit for a pretty good game call and give Roberts all the blane for the loss. But yes more talent would have won this too

I thought the same thing.  Let the dude run, he's not going to make it 31 yards, impossible.

Recruits aren't as reactionary as us fans, fortunately. This probably doesn't move the needle either way.

No one hangs with a receiver for 39 seconds. Serioudly your defense is laughable.

You don’t have to hang with anybody.   Just stand back there and wait for the QB to throw the ball and knock it down.   In all honesty, 8 guys should have been standing in the end zone waiting to knock the ball down.    Why was #4 running around trying to stay with him?  Just stand in the end zone.

Coach Saban said they practice that play as a db that a long azz time to chase around a wr. He should have rushed Milroe. Even with a three man rush Auburn wasn’t getting there. There is too much that’s geared for the offense to give a QB that long to throw. So if three didn’t do it let’s  give him even more time with two

That also gives you more defenders down the field than receivers…do the math.

I mean.   It’s unreal.   A 4th grade coaching blunder

Maybe. But I've gotta think a win would have been an epic moment for the recruits that were at the game. The atmosphere, probably storming the field, rolling Toomer's.

Tonight’s whatever.  Hugh has to bring in top 12 class in the next 2 weeks.  At least it wasn’t an embarrassing blow out.  Another season gone.

Robby negative plays didn’t affect anything. Auburn still scored

A field goal on the drive that was going into the 4th quarter and Thorne and company had all the momentum. Then Robbie in 1st and 10 from the Turds’ 23 goes for -7 yards. Result of the drive was a field goal from the 4yards line. The 4! A touchdown on that drive probably wins the game. 🤷‍♂️

s***, man, we had 9 available defenders vs the legal amount of eligible receivers. Could have damn near double-covered every one. Take off the glasses..

Yep. And no one needs to cover the receiver for 39 seconds. What play lasts that long?

Brother, losing on a 4th and 31 is about as damn embarrassing as it gets.

TO HELL WITH THIS COACHING BUNCH

Had a bunch of transfers from non-power 5 schools in a position to beat a borderline playoff team.

Yep. Unacceptable on all levels. Colossal failure just like last week.

We can agree to disagree . That works if the players are bunched up like most hell mary plays. They were spread out and this ended up being a one on one.  How many games have we seen when u give the qb to much time the end up finding a receiver. Like they say the prevent will prevent u from winning
