My dad, grandfather, uncle, and several cousins went to AU.

I graduated from AU in May '05, and now I'm in law school at, uh, well, you know, another school.

My dad graduated High School in the early 60's. He joined the Navy after H.S. and returned home and went to work. After several years of working he decided to attend Auburn. He packed up my mom and brother and moved to Auburn in the early 70's. My mom was a bammer fan and worked for Auburn while he was in school. They use to attend the Auburn and Alabama double header games at Legion Field. But something funny happend on December 2, 1972. My mom which was a bammer fan at the time was holding an Auburn shaker of my dads coming out of the famous punt bama punt game. She was called everything in the book by some bammer supporters and that's when everything changed. She went on to be a huge Auburn fan and a bammer hater after that day. (Like everyone in my immediate family.) If you met her today you would never believe she ever was a bammer fan. He graduated with a degree in accounting in '73. I grew up attending Auburn games every fall and have a lot of great memories. After turning down scholarship offers from several small schools my brother walked on to the football team and was a senior on Coach Dye's last team. (He really loves that man.) He graduated with a degree in education in '93. I graduated with a communications degree in '98 and my sister in one year away from graduating with a degree in pharmacy.

My brother and sister-in-law graduated 1987 and 1985, respectively. My sister attended Auburn for a couple of years back in 1975-1977. I however, was never lucky enough to attend Auburn. I have worked at Auburn at the graduate school from 1986-1988 and the Alumni Association from 1989-1996.

I was born and raised here in the great city of Auburn and started going to games when I was 7. I have only missed 4 home games since then! I have only lived away from "home" once for 6 months in Altanta...although Atlanta is a great place, I was miserable and my heart, body and soul longed for My Auburn. Good lord willing, I will live here in My Auburn the rest of my life and die here in My Auburn.

I graduated from AU in '79.

My wife was born & raised in Auburn, attended AU, but never graduated.

Both daughters dreamed of going to AU when young, one however got a Volleyball scholarship to Radford, the other decided AU was too big and now attends Elon.

Dad - '38

Sister - '62?

Brother and Sister-in-law - '71

Me - '74

Niece - '03

My Dad told me, "Son, I'll send you to any school in the country you want to got to - as long as you want to go to Auburn!" I never thought of any place else.

My Dad quit high school when he was 16. His Dad gave him a bus ticket to Auburn and $50. My Dad graduated from Vet School at age 20.

My Dad had a scholarship to Auburn but he graduated in 1941 and joined the Navy instead. He spent 20 years in the canoe club and then retired, and was wise enough to send both of his sons to Auburn.

I graduated in 1970. My brother in 1972.

My niece is a junior at AU now.

My eldest is a senior in HS and may go to AU in a couple of years.

My #2 is a big AU fan and is ready to pack her bags now, but they don't accept sixth graders!

BTW, my mother served in the Navy in WWII also. My brother and I both did time in the Navy (I "graduated" after 23+ years)

So we are a 75% Auburn family but a 100% Navy family! (My Mother is from South Dakota so did not know anything about Auburn in her early years)

War Eagle!

Both my grandmother and grandfather on my dad's side graduated from Auburn. My dad grew up a huge Auburn fan and would have gone there, but because my grandmother was a professor at UTC, he could go to UTC for barely anything. My dad is still a big Auburn fan to this day. My sister chose Ole Miss over AU :puke: . I am a junior in high school now and I hope to go to Auburn after I graduate(does anyone have any connections in the admissions department?). If I do get into Auburn, I will already have my roomate situation figured out.

My father and his father graduated from AU. My sister and I both graduated from The Plains. I got out in 84' and married a girl I met in class at Auburn. My brother went to Bammer.

We haven't talked to him in about 20 years. :big:

I'm almost as ancient as API50.

I actually recall (as a kid) the big upset when Auburn (API) beat the same Alabama team that had beaten them 55-0 the year before.

Got really mad at that--didn't even know who Auburn was.

As the years went by and it looked like I would be going to college and wanted to be an engineer, my family and I checked out Auburn and that's where I went.

Have loved it ever since.

I was in the last graduating class of API, December '59.

Best part is, I was there when we won the AP National Champs trophy.

The campus went nuts. We formed up a big parade and marched from Toomer's to the President's house to try to finagle a day off, but it didn't work.

Shug did show up and made a speech to the crowd. Another couple of guys and I boosted him up onto a stone post for his talk.

Great memories.

My father graduated in '79, then went to law school at uat. When asked why he doesn't pull for the Tahd, he says if the law school ever fields a football team, he'll root for them. :D

My mother started in the 70's, married, divorced, re-married (to my dad), started a family, then finally graduated in '89. My folks not only met at Auburn but were also married at Grace Methodist.

I will be the third :au: graduate in the family in just a few weeks, and my sister (Senior in HS) will probably either attend Auburn or UAB.

I'm currently a junior at Auburn. I've grown up an Auburn fan all my life though. My dad and mom both grew up about an hour north (Wedowee and Roanoke). They raised me right!

My mom graduated from Auburn along with 2 of my aunts and 2 of my uncles.

I graduated from Auburn when it was still API.

I have two daughters who are Auburn grads.

God willing, my grandaughter will be an Auburn Tiger next Fall. I took her to the bama game so she is already into enjoying seeing Auburn kick bama's butt. :au:

First attended AU in fall 1974 & graduated in 1979 -- saw Shug's last two seasons, then endured the Barfield Era. Had one older brother graduate in 1969 & one younger brother attend 1979-1983. I'm originally from NW Florida so the rest of my family are Gators & 'Noles.

Btw, I wear the label of 'Barfield Survivor' as a badge of pride. Those were some lean years to be an AU fan but I'm proud to say I stuck through with my Tigers the whole time. What's laughable today is to hear the bammies crying about how their team deserves to win "after all they've been through." For them it's only been what, 1-3 years of down time? If they can endure a 6 year stretch like us Barfield Survivors, then I might be able to empathize with them. Might. :au: WDE

Just thought it would be fun to see how many of us regulars attended auburn, or have children that attend(ed) auburn, or are just a big fan.

I'll start, although I didn't attend Auburn, i've been a fan ever since i was old enough to know my DAD graduated from there in 1952.

201124[/snapback]

I attended back in the day (80's) when Bo and Barkley were tearing it up on the plains.

Been working for the man for the past 20 and trying to break out on my own now.

I created a new website last week: http://www.screamingtiger.com

Sttill a lot of work to do there but have had a really positive response so far.

Check it out and and send me whatever funny stuff you have to share.

I have alot of strong connections: I am about to graduate the School of Architecture this spring and will be an Architect. My sister graduated from Mech Engineering School and is in Mech Eng grad school and will be a rocket scientist and hopefully one day an astronaut. I have two other sisters at Auburn one is in Civil Engineering and another sister who started at Auburn and finished at AUM. At one point we had five kids in school at AU! My little brother is a junior in HS and will be here in the year after next. My dad is a Civil Engineer who attended and I believe he has a Master's in Business (correct me if I'm wrong RV).

My girlfriend has a degree in Biomedical Sciences, a graduate degree in science education, and is in Grad School for Biological Sciences and is specialising in Microbiology and she will be a scientist-both of her parents graduated from Auburn with degrees in chemistry and both are dentists-her brother and cousin attend Auburn. My two cousins (one is an Architect another in Med School at UAB) graduated from Auburn within the past couple of years. My grandparents have been strong AU fans since they moved from WV when my mother was very young.

Although my family has always been strong Auburn fans and my relatives have gone to the games for forever, my first Auburn game was in 1993 when I was 13 years old-I was a military brat who didn't move back to AL until then. I've missed only a few games since then.

All I can say is War Damn Eagle!
