But coach Urban Meyer revealed Monday that right guard Ronnie Wilson's ankle is actually broken as opposed to the minor injury that Meyer originally thought it was. Meyer said Wilson should be back early in the season, but fall camp is an invaluable time for a redshirt freshman. "He had surgery two days ago, and I have great confidence in our training staff," Meyer said. "The first question is when we'll get him back, and it's going to be early in the season." Lineman Jim Tartt returned to practice Monday after sitting with a nagging shoulder injury. Drew Miller, who was at tackle, moved to guard for Monday's practice. And linemen Jason Watkins and Maurice Hurt left Monday's evening practice early. Watkins just got "dinged," Meyer said, while Hurt sprained his knee. Freshman Corey Hobbs moved from defensive tackle to the offensive line. He played both in high school. Injuries mounting Receiver Andre Caldwell suffered a minor hand injury and practiced Monday in a cast. Meyer said the hand will be in a cast for four days. Star freshmen receivers Jarred Fayson and Percy Harvin both sat out of practice again on Monday. Harvin sat with a hip flexor and Fayson's arm popped out of his shoulder socket and had to be pushed back in. Meyer said both should return to practice today. Freshmen noseguard Brandon Antwine (turf toe) and defensive end Lawrence Marsh (sore shoulder) also missed practice. Marsh and Antwine may need the practice repetitions more than the skill position players. "That's hard to catch up when you're an offensive or defensive lineman," Meyer said. Fullback Billy Latsko sprained his ankle and will return today or Wednesday. Defensive tackle Javier Estopinan also wore a boot leaving practice. Etc. Hurt and walk-on linebacker Chris Pintado had their freshman stripes removed Monday.
