Former AU and San Antonio Spurs great Mike Mitchell is under hospice care in San Antonio. He is only 54.

It's sad to see bad things happy to good people.

I remember when he went nose-to-nose with Benard King in a game against UT. The announcer at the time, maybe Dave Campbell, thought there was going to be an earthquake if those big guys got into it. King wanted to bully our team and Mr. Mitchell was not going to let that happen.
