I know he struggled as the Friday night starter at the beginning of last year but I think he will be much better tomorrow night against Bethune-Cookman. I also think he will play a vital role in the weekend rotation this season as well. I was just wondering what you others thought about that and Jacobs impact on the team this season.

I think he will do great. Unfortunately, I don't think he will break into the weekend rotation, since it will probably end up being Varnadore, Slade/Luckie, and Morris. But he could be a great weekday starter and could be a great long reliever.

Agreed.  I think he will be very valuable as a guy coming out of the bullpen on the weekends for us.  Too good of stuff to be a midweek starter, but its gonna be real tough for anyone to crack the rotation out of the 4 listed.  He has the stuff to do it if any one slips up though.
