So please know that I mean this from my very soul; Why is a United States Marine who served multiple tours languishing in a Mexican prison? Then tell me why a disgruntled soldier (i.e. deserter) is being exchanged for Terrorists? When 6 people died looking for him? And the Taliban guys have killed hundreds! No man left behind is fine. But to celebrate him and say he served with honor? Just so people will stop talking about the 4 Americans we left behind, who served with honor. America has had a long standing policy of NOT negotiating with terrorists. Is it not the least bit interesting to you that we have an innocent marine languishing in a Mexican prison and the state dept is doing nothing to negotiate his release? Why is that? Then there is this!

This also sets a precedent. Now Cuba wants to trade an American citizen they have in custody for 3 Cuban spies that have been incarcerated in America for 10 years.

This administration gave up 5 of the top most Sr Taliban operatives who have killed Americans and will more than likely kill again for one AWOL enlisted soldier. Bergdahl even emailed his parents after arriving in Afghanistan telling them he was "ashamed of being an American and that he was considering deserting."

Everyone is happy a POW is returning home but the Pres once again ignored a law that HE signed with regard to giving Congress minimum 30 days notice before releasing any Gitmo detainees. There is widespread suspicion this is just another political ploy to change the conversation about the VA and his many well documented foreign policy blunders but, on the face of it, this just seems like another one.

He's been beaten and treated as a war criminal in some instances and my advice to any American citizen who was thinking of going to Mexico on vacation......protest! Don't go.
