Is Dee Ford still an Auburn fan? Not the Dee Ford that played football. There was a Brit that googled her name and found our Dee Ford and she became a big Auburn fan. I think that's the way the story goes. It has been a few years. I think she even came over for a football game. If she's on here, she can give you some tips!

Actually, people kept tweeting at her (@deeford, the AU player is @deeford_) and so she had to find out what the fuss was about. She was such a good sport about it and really played it up.

Oh, she more than played it up (and apologies, we both put @deeford instead of @dee_ford):

Ah, thanks for the correction. She is hilarious with how she responds to people who get their Twitter handles confused.

No doubt! "Such a good sport"- spot on.

i bet her friends think she is crazy. You gotta hand it to her, she is enjoying the new experience and having a blast with it. Seems like her humor is great. Hope she enjoys "our" football.

I really should give golf a go but I have not got the patience for it

weagle26, if you have no patience, golf is not the game for you. It is the most humbling game that has ever been invented. Lik Doc, I quit for long time (28 years) but because I live 100yards from the 18th hole in my little neighborhood, my bro-in- law shamed me into taking up the game again. The best thing is that I really enjoy the game now and in 2010 shot every score in the 70's and even had a 69, a feat which I will never duplicate again. But the amazing thing to me is I was 71 years old when I did this. So, all that being said if you want to take up the game it will be extremely frustrating to start with but the good news is there is so much good instructional stuff out there it will make things a lot easier. I will forever be indebted to my bro-in-law for making me play again. Give it a try ;) , good luck!!

How else do you think I could have shot all those scores. :tease:

I will eventually I guess right now in life I have other things to concentrate on before I can relax and stress over golf. I played a round at Hagg's Castle its a small course not too far from where I stay (one of my friends is really good)

Update from London:

-my flat is so much smaller than any place that I've ever seen anyone live. It's crazy. I'm pretty sure Shaq's closet is bigger than this entire flat.

-the trains are super easy to use and I will be starting to work on bringing an above ground system to Birmingham as soon as I get home.

-it is absolutely as expensive as you've heard. No way around it.

-the only solid place I've found, even when talking to locals, to watch college football, is the casino(s). Which is no problem as long as I keep myself away from the blackjack tables. (I'm just so darn good at it..... I could probably triple my money in a few hours....)

-lastly, I've gotten about 40 "war eagle"s in three days. #BoomEra #BoomSoLoudItGotHeardAcrossThePond

Ps...I'm pretty sure I can see the new jumbotron from here.

The trains are so awesome there. And people know to stand to the right on escalators instead of blocking it so other folks can't walk by.

Check out Borough Market in Bankside. Maybe hit Tate Modern while you're over there. Walk to St. Paul's over the Millenium Bridge. Crawl the old pubs near there towards SoHo.

Wait...wouldn't one stand on the left on the escalators there? (This is all so confusing...)

Fair question, but it is indeed the right. As a frequenter of both Hartsfield-Jackson and MARTA, this picture is damn near pornographic:

I must have missed this thread earlier. I lived in London for two years ('09-'11, specifically in Richmond), spent the next three in Canada and am now in Norway (which makes London look affordable). Anyway, looks like you've already been given some things to do, but if you want more send me a message.

She deserves a trip and ticket to a game. While I cant afford the full bill, I would definately pitch in.
