It shouldn't surprise me, but it is absolutely amazing how well he is still able to play at his age. His mind is still as sharp as any. With a little endurance he would have won the open in 2009. If Spieth keeps playing well, he could post a low number today, which would be impressive considering the wind conditions. He's about to be tested by that wind here with a tee shot on 12. He had some huge par saves in there. That's one of the secrets to winning the Masters because you are going to have a lot of those to make. There's no doubt. One of the hardest parts to comprehend about playing professional golf, especially majors is the focus you have to have on every shot Thursday-Sunday. Hit it to 12 feet on 11, left of the hole (a feat of its own) and sinks the birdie putt to move into 2nd place. Followed by a spectacular shot off 12 tee to 3 feet. On 18 he was in the woods and finally ended up hitting his ball from about 30 yards where his ball came to rest. Plus was hitting 4 but rallied pretty well from his troubles.
