In the past.....it was fun here. There was hope at one point that things would calm down. I don't think anyone hates the forum or even said such a thing. What you don't want to understand is that this negative nastiness has gotten out of hand and other posters want a little relief. Those attempts to have something fun always get corrupted by the Gus haters. 

I could ask the same question....if a poster dislikes Gus to the point that it makes him this angry .....why keep bringing it up all the time and why delve into it constantly?  Why not step away? Or why not stay on a thread where all of you can wallow in the negativity and leave other posters alone? Why does it have to spread to the whole board? Why do you think you have to be accommodated to the detriment of the rest of the posters who may not want to see it everywhere? 

There should have been room for everyone. But that is not what's happened here.

nix some of your stuff is very legit but trust me people said it. the last tone i believe was after the lsu or florida loss. i am tired of gus but i promise you it was said more than once and it was mentioned last year.

The irony here is you are the one who creates a bad atmosphere. I wouldn’t pay you two cents worth of attention if you didn’t keep on with your stupidity. I think its past your bedtime anyway.

Proud literally hit me with a racial slur but they are talking about toxic. The person that brought up name calling is ALWAYS calling names....yeah hypocrisy is my theme word for this group

Well then I will disagree with you too.You have no idea what "mentally weak" even means, but it did not apply to that team at any time. They were learning to play together, working on building team chemistry and had things that needed to improve, and they did just that. It's a really inaccurate, insulting and disrespectful term for kids that put so much work and discipline into being a college athlete. That team was always made up of gutsy winners.

No he did this years ago but it's just the type of person he is. But he did it and everybody was like wow. But yeah out of the blue he's back. But how can you be cool with somebody like that then talk down and peach at people with the, the board was good.....back then nobody said the team has to get tougher and you could use racial slurs...but now the board isn't any fun lol

You go to the final 4....and really won that. You beat north c, Kansas win the conference championship but have a dog fight with Dayton and lose to NC State and a dog fight with uab......

Not so far from Auburn, 40 miles, plus or minus. First stop is at the grocery store. Next at the feed and seed store, the young guy loading my truck is in a great mood. He's taking his new girlfriend to her first Auburn game tomorrow. I tell him he should remind her to wear comfortable walking shoes.

Then on to the drug store to pick up a prescription. The pharmacist, wearing an orange shirt with the AU logo on it comes out from behind the counter to talk a little Auburn football. We both think Plumlee, the Ol' Miss QB, can cause us some trouble. He's a great athlete, Auburn and other major schools recruited him as a DB.

Then a stop at the cafe for lunch. There's a young family there with their little girl dressed up in one of those AU cheerleader uniforms for tots. Across the isle from her sits an older man, old enough to be somebody's great-grandpa. He and the little girl are doing War Eagle cheers back and forth to each other. He tries a "Track Em' Tigers" and the mom says she hasn't mastered that one yet.

My veterinarian calls on the cell phone. He's got two unexpected out of town guests arriving and he's looking around for some extra tickets for tomorrow's game. I don't have any extras but he asks about one of my horses that has a bad foot and I ask about his kid that's been sick.

Then I'm driving home and I think what a pleasant couple of hours it was. This is the Auburn I know and love. Lots of positive AU fans, proud of their team and their school. Not a single person walking around with his or her head down. I didn't hear anyone gripe, whine or crybaby about our team, which has a 6-2 record against what was acknowledged as the toughest schedule in college football.

There's a whole world of Auburn people out there with smiles on their faces and the Auburn Creed in their hearts. Maybe more of us should push back from the keyboard and join them.

at the end of the day while some facts cannot be argued  if someone is acting badly it is on them. no excuse. no is forcing anyone to show bad behavior and making other people look bad to make themselves the darling of their click. and yes i am guilty of stuff as well. we can all do better. ultimately the fact we have reached this point is because of a rabid love of our football team and how we handle the season. i am certainly trying to do better.
