Biden inherited a less stable and more troubled Country from Trump than Trump did from Obama.

EDIT* Why is it seemingly an unpopular opinion that the US at the start of 2016 was in better shape overall than America at the beginning of 2021?* Are people really going to argue that that's not true?

But hey....the stock market is rocking right now and is as high as ever.

That's the metric Trump and Republicans used for claiming they created the best economy in US history. Why does that suddenly not matter anymore?

Or maybe it's an indicator that just because Corporations and the top 10% of wealth are doing very well and racking up profits and income, doesn't automatically mean everyone else in America is doing well or prospering? Republicans wouldn't like to admit that little revelation either. Maybe it'll trickle down to the rest of the 90% in a few decades....or maybe not...but it's important the people believe it will.

Fuel and food eating up all of our dividends maybe?

In 2020 Republicans were bragging about how we were living in the greatest, most prosperous economy in US history, Now in 2021 those same republicans are crying because an extra $1/per gallon of gas is apparently breaking their wallet.

The biggest problem we have had in getting control of Covid has been the total distrust in science.  That is rooted in the Trump administration's handling of Covid.  Trump could have taken credit for the vaccine response, but instead he spent his time downplaying the seriousness of Covid.  Instead of allowing the NIH to spearhead the problem, he spent countless hours placing himself front and center, while making the lives of those that knew what they were doing an absolute hell.  Biden isn't perfect and he has attempted to please too many people at times.  That has made him look weak in the eyes of some, but at least he isn't spending his time trying to destroy people's faith in their government entirely.

The most egregious comments I hear from the far right are complaints that Biden said he would unify the country but hasn't done so.  It is the very people complaining about that which make it impossible to reach consensus on anything.  Choosing to lie over and over and over about an election that he lost is one of the most disgraceful things a President has ever done.

Wow, did you get that wrong. That is a part of it, yes. But the real damage came to the family and the economy.

Just one new issue: The issue with the parents across the nation is that the pandemic made them aware of things their schools were teaching the kids. The pandemic is going to change the culture here in America far more than many ever assumed. And being trump obsessed while he is out of power is just mental masturbation.

For 60 years or so, the American Middle Class has been told that the govt was going to make Education better for all. MAN WAS THAT A LIE. Education in America has never been worse. Maybe, just maybe, the past failures from the govt have taught the American People to distrust the govt? I know in the eyes of so many fools they will never be able to admit even for a nano-second that their side may have even the smallest part in all this. The fact that Middle America is waking up to the fact that our govt is really not particularly good at anything other than corruption and making wealthy people even wealthier and politicians wealthier still, is not lost on them. The idea that McAuliffe has just had a slip up and told the truth for once does not bode well for the Elites. They send their kids to good private schools and then trap our kids in failing schools THAT THEY HAVE MANAGED TO MAKE FAILURES FOR 60 YEARS OR SO. Along comes the pandemic and now parents are seeing up close and personal how bad the schools are and how entitled everyone but the parents are in that system.

PISA rankings within OECD

Our nation ranks 17th in science and you wonder why the nation may be weak on science? Maybe its because we as a nation suck at teaching it?

Move on with trump.  He was not anywhere near the problem some thought him to be. He just saw what was going on in America and took advantage. The problem is that if you want to govern a nation of 330M, immediately dismissing half the population as Deplorables was absolutely the wrong way.

The people stepping over needles in the street and s*** on the sidewalk should not be trying to tell anyone how to live. It is plainly painfully obvious that their time in office has been a cosmic fail.

A lot of the distrust in science stems from the mistrust from those delivering it.

Too much of the "science" is just hypothetical.  Show me the data!

You are looking at the wrong metric. Try inflation and get back with me.

Well he may not be trying, but my "polling friends" might want to take a look. He's succeeding despite the effort or lack thereof.

You know where that isn't the case?  In school districts where the parents are an active part of their child's education.  You can provide an education to a child, but without help from home, it is very difficult to foster an atmosphere wherein a child will achieve competitive scores.

The U.S. system of public education was the model most of the world used when devising their own national models.  Before we guaranteed education to kids, being poor meant you usually remained that way.  We don't have to look back very far to see how far we have come.  Simply put, there is no American dream without the opportunity of a child from a poor rural family to better themselves thru education.  Ask Tim Cook about that.
