My third choice would be Hugh Freeze, the guy has a good scheme, he can recruit, and comes with a ton of baggage. I believe he could get our recruiting and coaching back on track but it would be like drinking bad medicine.

Freeze would be "you know who" 2.0

You’re a 5 star recruit and 5 coaches are in your living room

Saban

Kirby

Kiffin

Freeze

Sanders

who are you going to listen to and who will leave a lasting impression?

Saban, Kirby and Deion.

Freeze and Kiffin haven't done anything of note as head coaches in comparison with Saban and Kirby, and Sanders has the star factor going for him.

Never Deion and never to Freeze.

Raid the Packers for Matt LaFleur, 42 years old.  42-12, 3x NFC North Champions ('19, '20, '21).  Solid, proven hc, but minimal college coaching experience. One season Notre Dame qb coach.  Total of 6 seasons in college ball.

Current salary $5-5.5 million/year.  Packers franchise is not privately owned, not sure how that figures in with attempts to retaining LaFleur.

What about Matt Rhule?    He seems to be looking for a job.

What makes you think that? Speculation that he maybe let go but probably at end of season which is probably too late for AU.
