If true it’s almost as disappointing and underwhelming as the last forever hires. Should have never fired Gus for this ya freaking idiots. Can’t wait for the return of the high school offense.

The articles in the OP didn't tell us anything we didn't already know. There could be 5 more floating around regarding 5 other people. Very doubtful the coaching search is aiming at 1 person at a time. All we know is what the media is telling us, and they have done a piss poor job with these things historically. Everyone should calm down and stop acting like everything is a done deal with every article that comes out.

I expect that with the level of determination shown so far in this coaching search, we appear wiling and able to reach out to anyone a new AU Head Coach requires.

However, as always, money can only move someone that is interested. Time and time again sometimes money alone is not enough.

If it's Freeze, at least he had a pretty good defense at Ole Miss. Remember the Land Shark's? His defense was flying around back at Ole Miss. Lane Kiffin doesn't give a dang about defense. Also, consider when he coached at Ole Miss. Bama was winning titles, Auburn was playing for a Natty with Gus, LSU was still rolling with Les, Mullen had Dak Prescott and was his best years at State, Manziel was at Texas A&M with Sumlin and they were hell, Arkansas wasn't much with Bert. 

Hugh Freeze really held his own against a LOADED SEC West back then. Kiffin does well too but Auburn, Tx A&M, State, LSU are worse than they were back when Freeze was there.

I'm fine with Freeze. He can recruit legally here, Caddy will stay and keep energy up too. Freeze has something to prove and he scares Bammer fans. WDE
