She held the same position I believe with him at Liberty.

I thought she lived in Auburn unless it is the other daughter.

Daughter as his assistant.

Yes, his daughter dresses very classy and appropriately unlike… well I mean… unlike… another coaches daughters that I know.

Some more, from Auburn's end:

This is happening more often in larger organizations with busy leaders and figureheads; having someone or some department be the distributor of the social media content. It'll create a more consistent social media message presentation, cadence and format and also, who has the time to argue with the internet collective.

Oman, I was about to say she is way to pretty to work for Freeze... then I saw it was his daughter, lol.  Actually, a nice job there - nepotism aside.

That is weak and lame in my opinion.

Lane is given full control but we have to hand cuff and babystep our new guy.

no kidding. Auburn just hired a guy who they felt couldn't be trusted to handle his own social media account(s). amazing. i hope it works out.

Nah.  What you do in a big company is send the people you want to talk to the public thru social media to your social media school and teach them how to interact with your base the way you want it done and in the "voice" you want them to use.  You only take away social media privelidges from those that have no need of communicating with the "market place" or those you don't trust.

If they are going to neuter the guys social media game then i'd have preferred they did it secretly and not told anyone. I dont particularly respect the move but auburn is going to auburn and I am not surprised. Deion or Lane never would have gone for that but whatever it ultimately is just twitter so it isnt the end of the world, I just think it is weak.

< sigh > the contract isn't even signed yet and we're picking apart contractual stipulations, "leaked" on a message board, as if they're real or true. Come on y'all.

So, Kiffin wouldn't give up his Twitter for Auburn and that's why his deal fell apart. Let's see: Twitter or $100M - Twitter or $100M... Foolish. I'd cancel my Twitter for free if I could figure out how! Hold on, lemme DM Coach Freeze, see if he knows how to Twitter. Carp! Too late. Account temporarily disabled. WDE

I hope we can provide high paying jobs for all of his family members.

I just hope our team doesn't become victims.  Let's not forget who this guy is.

This isn’t all that uncommon nowadays.

You know you have made the right hire when, a) the new coach cannot be trusted with social media, b) the university must hire a PR firm to combat the negative press, c) the new coach hires his family members the first day, d) the university must 'explain' to the masses that the coaches DMs to a potential assault victim was not actual coercion but rather concern for his friend and/or bad judgment, e) the university reminds the coach that "you can't buy hookers for yourself or your recruits" (ok, I just added this one for fun), or f) all of the above.

The carry-over of his daughter as his assistant is obviously not against any rules/hiring conditions at Auburn or it would not be allowed. I don’t see that as a negative. When we were discussing Kiffin , all were wondering if his father would come with him and no negativity about nepotism then.
