Couple thoughts....

WR - Should anyone honestly be surprised?  Hooks/Shorter were obvious locks as the outside guys.  I know someone hammered Mardner as being a starter & constantly wanted to reply to me about his inability to catch and how he was CMD's #1 target.  We'll see if they show up.  Seems the Fair/Kelly put them into the top two rotations.

LT - Kinda surprised Muskrat is there vs backing up a Guard.

Everything else on offense seems pretty normal.

DE - Nice to see Z Walker being an "or".  he's seemed kinda lost after a decent 1st year, but then injuries
Jack - Sings being an "or" with McLeod
LB - Nixon being behind Keys
DB - No Idea who Champ Anthony is.

Mardner may not play on Saturday also. Hopefully more opportunity for Camden. We'll see

Has there been any final statement on whether Hunter will be suspended for any games?

I assume him being 1st on the depth chart should answer that question

Thought the OR for Ashford and Geriner was interesting too after we heard about how hard Robby pushed Payton (not saying he did just saying we heard a lot that he did).

The or designation for Ashford and Geriner is interesting. Hugh is keeping those kids engaged in the battle. I like it.

Looks like Jarquez might have avoided suspension time. That’s awesome for him. Want to see the numbers he can produce in a full season as RB1.

I thought Shorter was good but they mentioned him so little over the camp. Glad to see he’ll be out there. Hooks had an insane camp to lock down a spot and not have an -or- designation with Camden.

Fairweather is the receiving tight end while Deal is mostly a blocker. Make no mistake on who will be featured the most.

A little disappointed there are some spots where I think seniority won out. Thought Faulk outperformed Nasili-Kite. Felt Cam Riley had been passed up by Asante.

OL is about right. Wright is too good when he’s at his best to not start. Stutts I’ll be watching closely. Muskrat and Miller are high quality backups. Lew is young but solid.

Jayson Jones being listed first and without an -or- sort of confirms camp notes about his main competition being out of shape.

Scott and DJ will be good. Still skeptical about the other starting DBs.

Faulk is really good but I think people are sleeping on MNK.  He was posed for a big year last year before he got hurt and was on All B1G lists.

Ashford is battling an injury. I think it’s dependent on how healthy he is on Saturday.

Champ Anthony I believe was a Juco CB we signed. He was pretty highly rated in the Juco class...like top 5 CB I think FWIW Had a really good camp according to many.

I kind of though Nixon and Keys would play different positions....Keys at MLB and Nixon at WLB.

McCleod being more of a pass rush specialist and Sings having the camp he had I could see where Sings comes in on early downs and McCleod on passing downs.

I wouldn't say senority won out. I think with Faulk and MNK that 2 things are at play....1, Faulk is still very green being a True Freshman. Yes physically he is definitely SEC Ready, but MNK has several years of P5 experience and that goes a long way. 2, I think Faulk will be the starter by week 4. I have said that since spring.

As for Riley and Assante....I think Riley offers more versatility, but I honestly think the LBs will be rotated a good bit between the 4 guys. ICBW
