Come into a winless situation, lose your Qb, and get fired before you even finish your first season. Time to call Dan Mullen and see if he wants to come back. In retrospect, considering Arnett was being looked at by larger programs for coordinator gigs and was seen as a rising star, he should have declined the MSU job and stayed as a Defensive coordinator for a few more years and held out for a better head coaching situation when he was also a more experienced coach himself. It was a tragic situation, and the odds were against him, but he did himself no favors be abandoning the air raid and trying ground and pound. Arnett did this to himself.
