Not only that, his agenda was made clear via the minimization. He’s a right winger.

In 2020, CNN described Rogan as "libertarian-leaning".[101] Rogan has said that he holds a wide variety of political views and does not easily fall on any particular side of the political spectrum.[102] He has described himself as socially liberal, saying that he supports same-sex marriage, gay rights, women's rights, recreational drug use, universal health care, and universal basic income, but also supports gun rights and the Second Amendment.[103][104] Rogan describes himself as a strong supporter of freedom of speech, and has criticized cancel culture and what he perceives to be suppression of those who hold right-wing views in the television and film industry.[102] He has also criticized what he describes as an American foreign policy of military adventurism.[105]

Rogan endorsed Ron Paul in the 2012 U.S. presidential campaign[106] and voted for Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.[107] He endorsed Bernie Sanders during the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primaries,[101] but ended up voting for Jo Jorgensen in the general election.[108]

Rogan has said that Florida governor Ron DeSantis would be "a good president", adding that "what he's done for Florida has been admirable."[109] Rogan opposes Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, calling him "a ******* dictator" and called Canada "communist" while admitting that he has "zero understanding" of Canada's political system. Rogan also said that he liked Trudeau prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.[110] Rogan also called Russian President Vladimir Putin "evil".[111]

Rogan publicly supported Tulsi Gabbard and encouraged her to run for the U.S. presidency in 2020.[112] On January 21, 2020, Rogan said he would "probably" vote for Bernie Sanders in the 2020 Democratic primary, adding, "He's been insanely consistent his entire life."[113] Sanders was criticized by fellow Democrats for touting Rogan's endorsement during the 2020 presidential campaign, including by MoveOn, which referred to Rogan as "someone known for promoting transphobia, homophobia, Islamophobia, racism and misogyny". The Human Rights Campaign called on Sanders to reject Rogan's endorsement.[101]

After Sanders dropped out of the race, Rogan said he would "rather vote for Trump than Biden" adding that "I don't think [Biden] can handle anything." He claimed that he was concerned that Biden, who turned 78 shortly after Election Day, lacked the cognitive ability needed to run the United States and would not be able to handle the pressure of the presidency. Rogan criticized Biden for his verbal slip-ups, which he described as "not a normal way to communicate, unless you're high".[114] He also said "Biden, to me, is like having a flashlight with a dying battery and going for a long hike in the woods, it is not going to work out. It's not going to make it."[115] Donald Trump subsequently retweeted Rogan's comments on Biden's mental fitness.[116]

I think a distinction needs to be made here that Joe Rogan is not equivalent to news programing.

Rogan isn't a journalist, he's not a researcher, he doesn't have sources and doesn't investigate anything. He's just a guy with opinions and a popular talk show. Hell, like in this clip, he can't even do a 10 second google search to see if the President actually said something Rogan thinks he said.

He shouldn't be compared to actual news organizations because he isn't a news organization. Joe Rogan can and does give wrong and inaccurate information. sometimes he gets called on it and sometimes he doesn't, but it ultimately doesn't matter much because there's no standard for him to uphold. Joe Rogan exists and gets paid to entertain...not to inform.

Nobody should be taking ANY information or claims Joe Rogan or his guests say at face value without any other research or looking up context.

Nobody should be looking to Joe Rogan to help them form their opinions on politics, science, news, etc.

Self redeeming post. Props!

I would simply add that no one should look to a particular person or news org without much further research to make political decisions. Look left, right and center. Then you decide.

100% agree.

No one should take anything presented by Joe Rogan, nor any other opinion giver for that matter, on any platform in the world as truthful, researched, or valid.

What most of the thinking world likes about Rogan is that he allows people to not have to speak thru the 12-second sound byte to the masses. It is just good common sense that if you want to figure out who is lying/misleading/propagandizing you will be easier to see over a 3-hour interview than 2-3 12-second sound bytes.
