Just wonder how much his high school competition has to do with his stats. He has all the intangibles. He definitely has the body type to start right away. I don’t put that much credence into the competition like other people. I’d rather go through a few growing pains with him than the boneheaded decisions from a multi year starter. Plus he already has the rapport with the 2024 wrs.

Bo Nix started as a true freshman after coming in for spring practice. WW seems more developed and ready than Bo, so I wouldn't count him out or HB who I don't believe came in for spring. Maybe I'm wrong. Regardless of our resident expert opinions, I think Kent Austin and CHF know QBs.  If coaches spend the time developing the young guys over some portal transferee looking for a job handed to him, I think AU could surprise some folks this fall. Just MHO. WDE!!

Always a major step up from HS to college. He won’t start Game 1 of 2024. Thorne has too much experience to be beaten out.
