Wayne Bylsma

Recommended Posts

Anybody remember the bald LB from way back around 1990?

I’m hearing he passed away. Funeral was today.

EDIT: It was his Dad, who also played football for AU, that passed away.

Sorry to prematurely speak of Wayne's demise. Its not every day you get a father and son that both played at AU.

Say a prayer for the family.

That is sad news to hear. I knew his brother but never met Wayne. Prayers for his family.

Hoping you got some bad info. Have not heard or seen anything.

Wayne began a career in the concrete pumping business early 90s after football. Owner of Cherokee Pumping later. Prince of a guy we did a lot of business with him. I am retired now but still involved in some development at the lake. Wayne came by the project just few weeks ago and left me a card and information. Apparently involved or owns a company called Sitemix and I have been meaning to call him and catch up.

I got the word from an acquaintance who actually attended the funeral. I too have not found anything online.

Said it was heart related and sudden.

Hate to hear that. Wayne was a great guy. A pleasure to do business with and be around.

Wasn't his Dad Bruce Bylsma who played for Shug?

Interesting. Maybe the name got a bit messed up with the whole played at Auburn thing. I didn't realize his dad played at AU also.

Condolences to the former AU Tiger's family.

Yeah, I knew he played at Opelika.

Wayne was many years after though.

I was in school with Danny Skutack at Opelika.
