I haven't forgotten it was Ball State AU was playing. Ball State -- the team that had 13 players (8 starters, including 3 of 4 DL) suspended right before their season opener. (Link)Not trying to downplay the stats that were put up in this game or anything, but it does make a difference what the competition was like. Mid major teams are generally short on depth to begin with. Take away the starters and the players behind them will get you results like today.

We all understand that it was BSU. But...We were looking for some answers and I think we found some tiday.

I don't think the players were suspended anymore, atleast that's what I was told.

I think they were playing their starters (who would most likely all be backups on any other team in the SEC anyway), or surely the announcers on TV would have mentioned it. But the big thing I saw was that everyone on the D had a blocker on them, not many missed blocks at all, and that was one of the big things I was looking for in this game.
