Dorm room life

I am moving into a dorm on Wednesday and was hoping maybe I could get some advice on what I should take with me. Suggestions?

Lots and lots of powerstrips.

Something to raise your bed so you can put stuff underneath it.

A good sound system.

Xmas lights.

Shower sandals.

Lysol for the beds.

A rug.

TV.

Those are most of the essentials. Anything else you can fit in there makes it even more fun.

Take a footlocker or something to lock things up when you are not around. Trust me! I never lived in a dorm but knew plenty-o-people that did. You will thank me.

None really. Its just the college thing to do, everyone else will have them.

Actually, we relied on them for lighting my freshman year. They were dimmer than the overhead light, but lit the room well. A much more relaxed lighting scheme I guess.
