The Arrows with Allen Merrill done the original not Ms Jett in case some people didn't know

I didn't know. Ms. Jett didn't really make the song her own, now that I hear the original.

This is both a white guy who sounds black and a something seems familiar:

Then there's the 'original':

Finally, there's the song that's not a cover, but still something familiar:

Nice britt agree to a certain extend but I was speaking more along the lines of voice. Also if you post from youtube just take the "s" off https and this will happen

Yeah, I sort of think Rod Stewart -- especially early on, when he was singing blues -- sounded black.

"I remember a kid running into band rehearsal one day, in '68 or so, and saying, You're not gonna believe this, but Rod Stewart is white! We said, Get outta here. We didn't believe him. There was just not that many places you could see pictures of people. There wasn't MTV and we never heard any white person sing like that. We knew he was black." -- Steven Van Zandt

I tried taking the 's' out of my links, but I'm just seeing the links without the 's' now. :dunno: Anyway, I appreciate the help.
