MLB Spring Training

Has anyone here been? Wife and I are trying to take a weekend somewhere in March. Considering a few different places, and hadn't thought about going to Jupiter. If we went, it wouldn't be entirely for the baseball, but thought it might be fun to go to Florida and catch a Cardinals game. Curious what the area (Jupiter) is like, and if there is much else to do besides go to games.

Not to Jupiter but was at Port Charlotte.....a couple years ago to see AU play and also the location where the Rays trained....beautiful area and I would recommend it.

Jupiter is a very nice area wouldn't say there is a ton of different things to do unless you shop... could go to Palm Beach and see all the ultra rich people. Do you play golf?

I do play golf, but I'd be pushing it if I was convincing my wife to go see baseball, and play golf. I think we are going to do NOLA instead. Although, a friend of mine is getting married this summer, and I'm trying to plan a trip for all the guys to Pursell Farms - Farm Links for a weekend to play 36 or 54.

Charlotte Sports Park is 10 mins from my house.  Nice place to watch a game.  Also, 30-ish mins North is Ed Smith Stadium, in Sarasota, where the Orioles train and another 15-ish mins North of that, in Bradenton, is McKechnie Field where the Pirates train.  And yet another 30-ish mins north from there is Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, where the Yankees train.  Break out your wallet for that, though..

Or... an hour south from my home is Jet Blue Park, in Ft. Myers, where the Red Sox train.  I think the Twins train around there, somewhere, too.

It's a Spring Training & minor league baseball paradise down here.
