Baseball vs South Carolina series

Nice win. Now onto tomorrow. Would really like to see us pull out a game 2.... been a big struggle. With Arky and Tennessee staring us in the face, a sweep would be real nice. Just saying, lol, but get the series win first and foremost

Well everybody but Methuselah is a lot younger than you. LOL since I am almost as old as you. I do remember you talking about your wife her being related to the Hatfield's.

Well both of those facts suggest that she can whip your arse so mind your manners.     Other than you, what is Ms. Golf's handicap?

Just getting home from work and Auburn is up 3-0 in the T6th.

Bright has pitched a really good game so far. 5.1 innings, 5 hits, 2 walks, and no runs.

He's in a bit of a jam now though as he walked a batter and then hit a batter. 2 on with 1 out.

3-0 Auburn T6th

Well that sucks. A ground out to get out 2 but Bright gives up a 3 run homer. Always seems like we leave the starters in just a bit too long.

3-3 Tied and Sheehan is coming in to pitch for Bright

Butch always seems to let Bright go one to many batters. 3 run jack. Tied.

You have to get him out BEFORE he caved in. 😩

Butch is developing him to stay in past the 5th. Bright started out going 3-4 innings before he lost control. He's edged up to about 5-6 innings. He has great stuff but he is still a project. Covid set everybody back a little. If he takes Bright out early the kid will never be any good. It would ruin him.

Butch is a great coach and he will get the best out of every player.

Sheehan gets into trouble after a strike out to begin the inning. Gives up a double and a walk. Falls behind 3-1 before a single scores the go-ahead run.

Armstrong coming in for Sheehan.

4-3 South Carolina

Passed ball moves the runner from 1st to 2nd before an error by Moore at SS scores both runners.

2 down with a runner on 1st.

Another pitching change as Swilling comes in to try to stop the bleeding.

6-3 South Carolina

Wild pitch moves both runners up!!

Howell strikes out swinging.

DiChiara obviously gets intentionally walked for Carlson who is 3-3. Gotta get these runs!

Edit: New pitcher for South Carolina.

Bello coming in to LF and Skipper coming into pitch to hold this lead.

3 pitch ground out to 1B!

Skipper falls behind 3-1 but gets a ground out to 2B!

Ground out to SS!!!

Great job getting a 1-2-3 inning!

Foster, Rambusch, Howell coming up! Wouldn't be mad at a couple insurance runs!

7-6 Auburn B8th
