Future Tiger Tracker: Cobb goes for 300-plus in the playoffs

Most of Auburn's commits were in action for the playoffs on Friday night, which included a 300-plus-yard performance from Jeremiah Cobb to advance to the state semifinal.

Jeremiah Cobb — RB

In the second round of the playoffs, Montgomery Catholic (Ala.) leaned heavily on Cobb to carry the offense. He did just that. In a 44-27 win over Jacksonville (Ala.), Cobb took 18 carries for 302 yards and two touchdowns.

It'll be a battle of the backs in the third round of the playoffs as Jamarius Haynes is on the other sideline, a senior running back who's recently picked up steam with offers from Clemson, Washington State and Western Kentucky.

Season stats: 139 carries, 1,769 yards, 21 TDs (12.7 YPC) | 16 receptions, 373 yards, 5 TDs

Adam Hopkins — WR

Hopkins and Thomas County Central (Ga.) won the first round of the playoffs 49-10 over Evans (Ga.). Hopkins caught a 59-yard and 48-yard touchdown pass in the win. Full stats have not been shared.

The Yellow Jackets will face off against St. Pius X Catholic (Ga.) on Friday.

Bradyn Joiner — IOL

Joiner and Auburn High (Ala.) took down Dothan (Ala.) 48-20 on Friday night in the second round of the playoffs.

A rematch at Central-Phenix City is set for this Friday night.

Ashley Williams — edge

Zachary (La.) and Williams started the playoffs with a 42-7 win over St. Amant (La.). Williams recorded four tackles.

Round two is a matchup with West Monroe (La.).

Season stats: 49 tackles, 11 sacks, 9 TFL, 2 PD, 1 FF

Jamarrion Harkless — DT

Harkless and Frederick Douglass (Ky.) took down Covington Catholic (Ky.) 33-6 on Friday night to continue the undefeated season and playoff run. Stats have not been shared from the game.

Next up is 11-1 Woodford County (Ky.).

Terrance Love — S

Love and Langston Hughes (Ga.) won the first round of the playoffs 49-6 over River Ridge (Ga.). Love caught one pass for 16 yards, tallied five tackles and recorded a pick-six.

Langston Hughes has North Forsyth (Ga.) in round two.

Season stats: 39 tackles, 1 INT, 1 TD, 1 PBU | 8 receptions, 188 yards, 3 TD

Daquayvious Sorey — WR

Chipley (Fla.) and Sorey start the playoffs this Friday against Baker (Fla.).

Season stats: 52 receptions, 1,012 yards, 15 TDs | 12 carries, 93 yards | 16 tackles

Chipley Tigers: 10-0

 

 

 

Wilky Denaud — DL

John Carroll Catholic will start the playoffs this Friday against Cardinal Mooney (Fla). The two teams previously matched up, with John Caroll winning 26-3.

Clay Wedin — OL

The playoffs will begin for Wedin and Carrollwood Day this Friday at 8-1 Northside Christian (Fla.).

Lane and Moody (Ala.) fell to Arab (Ala.) 42-20, ending the season.

Hart's senior season ended last Thursday night in a 63-12 loss to Millry (Ala.).

Loachapoka finished 9-2.

Every week Auburn Undercover will update you on the performances of Auburn's commits and how they performed in their high school games. But we're also going to update you on notable performances from some of Auburn's top 2023, 2024 and 2025 targets.

This list of recruits will vary week to week based on performances and availability of stats.

 

Rueben Bain — DL/edge

An Auburn target down at Miami Central (Fla.), Bain had four tackles, three tackles for loss and three sacks in a 60-0 win in the first round of the playoffs. 

 

 

 

Air Noland — 2024 QB

Langston Hughes (Ga.) and Noland won the first round of the playoffs, with Noland completing 14 of his 21 pass attempts for 241 yards and three touchdowns.

Season stats: 165-of-237 (70% completion percentage), 2,986 yards, 40 TDs, 3 INTs | 30 carries, 137 yards, 4 TDs

 

 

 

 

Jelani Thurman — TE

Noland's tight end at Langston Hughes caught two passes for 15 yards and a touchdown in the win.

Season stats: 31 receptions, 506 yards, 10 TDs

 

 

 

Lewis Carter — LB

Carter and Tampa Catholic (Fla.) took down King (Fla.) 47-12 in the first round of the playoffs. Carter had six tackles.

 

 

 

Terrance Moore — 2024 WR

Another target out of Tampa Catholic, the junior receiver has seen his stock blow up recently with offers flowing in left and right. In Friday night's game, Moore showcased exactly why, catching six passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns.

 

 

 

 

Joshua Horton — DT

Another flip target out of Langston Hughes, the North Carolina commit tallied eight tackles and a tackle for loss on Friday night.

 

 

 

Jordan Thompson — 2024 LB

A junior at Langston Hughes with offers from Texas, LSU and UCF — among others — already, Thompson had 12 tackles in the win.

 

 

 

Colton Hood — CB

The Auburn legacy committed to Michigan State finished Friday's game with two receptions for 45 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively he had six tackles. Hood visited Auburn for the Texas A&M game.

 

 

Cameron Coleman — 2024 WR

The junior receiver at Central-Phenix City (Ala.) caught three passes for 65 yards against Enterprise (Ala.) in the second round of the playoffs.
