Of coaching experience combined for the defensive coaching staff in the SEC, as compared to 17 for the defensive coaching staff coming into 2012.

Our defensive staff is turning into a well seasoned and quality staff. This is probably the best defensive statt that I can remeber in a long while. Gus is doing this the right way. The man will bring Auburn football back to elite fold of football programs. I know there will be some bumps in the road next year, but Gus is really paving the way for long term success!

I've said it before and I'll say it again, what I like best about Malzahm as head coach is he is an offensive minded coach which means he will not be sticking his nose into how the defense is run, except if the defense is not holding up it's end.

I certainly hope our defense will take a dramatic turn for the better. Lord knows they couldn't get any worse. But Chizik and Roof also had plenty of experience.

We definately have some experience and hopefully a little wisdom on this staff when it comes to the SEC. Gus is no newbie to the league, but he has not spent long here. I beleive he has A LOT of guys on that defensive staff that know what it takes to win in this league and we know they can all work with CEJ. I would be tempted to beleive that Gus is going to leave the D in the hands of that staff. We all know that our defense will be heavily taxed under his philosophy. It is going to take coaches who know the SEC and can have our Freshaman and Sophmores ready to go when called on - Lord knows we will use at least 22 guys on defense - not to mention the injuries that come with the game. We cannot call this a great staff just yet, however, CGM has put together a defensive staff that has just about every quality you could want to begin a looooooooooong career!

i cant help but be very confident that our offense and qb no matter who it is will be competent on the field. im not expecting to lead the sec in scoring in '13 but gus will find something that will work or have a chance to work. we never got anything established this year and every game it seemed to get worse no matter who the qb. gus will identify the strengths and use it to produce points. i had no confidence that loeffler would get anything going after the arkansas game. it is so refreshing to know we have the man who can score points, who has scored points in 6 of his 7 years in control or 6 of his 6 years he was in control.
