McLoofus 35,182
Went to Sloss Fest yesterday. Spoon was very good. Run the Jewels were very good. WSP's sound was *terrible* and I didn't enjoy their set very much. It was also late and muddy as hell everywhere from the rain and I was tired by the time they came on. Mandolin is not flashy but (especially on that 1st one) his interplay w./ other strings is major glue component for cohesive overall sound. McLoofus 35,182
@ShocksMyBrain- 27 mins?!?! Just digging into it. Some rough patches early, and they never harmonize vocally to my liking on this song, but it's always a monster live. Looking forward to the next 20 minutes....
Barnacle 9,064
Simple was the song that got me onto Phish. I was a camper at Alpine Camp for Boys in Mentone, Alabama. Every day we had to clean our cabin, and Simple (from A Live One) was our "cleaning song." Funny thing is, I asked for a Phish album for Christmas that year, got one, and didn't like it. I was like 11 or 12. I'd just discovered classic rock. I didn't come around to Phish again until late high school. I'm not their "biggest" fan, but the songs I like, I love. Fun stat: 3rd longest jam(except for secret festival sets) since 2009 when they got back together.

I feel that way about several bands, I think. Working in the kitchen at Buffalo's in Auburn in the mid 90s, we listened to a lot of great music but one of the staples was the soundtrack to The Blues Brothers. Those are all "cleaning songs". ShocksMyBrain 9,364
This song is played often on JamOn. And I love it every time it comes on. I'll vent my beef of JamOn some other day. Enjoy: I love it because before you know it, 14 minutes have passed and you wonder where you've been.
