Music Thread v.1.5(POST YOUR TUNES!)

Recommended Posts

Alright, here's my first contribution.

A combination of things I love. A cover of a perfect song from Drivin' n' Cryin. The great Todd Snider on vocals (yeah, his voice is shot). A tasteful, clean guitar solo from Neal Casal (RIP). And a second solo from Jason Isbell.

And one more. This is from my favorite under the radar songwriter. I can't find a video that does him justice. But if this intrigues you, let me know, and I'll steer you in the right direction and talk your ear off.

What is a song that you always turn up the volume when you hear it?

Here is one of many that begs to be played loud.

You definitely can't play this on a low volume.

Brian Johnson AC️DC is just meh for me. I’m Bon Scott all day if I’m listening to them. If I do dip my toes in the Johnson era, Heatseeker is at or near the top

This is in the top 5 of the Bon Scott era

Not for the faint of heart, but here's one I regularly turn up.

Probably saw DNC 10 times in high school. Saw Kevn recently for an intimate acoustic show with Angie Aparo. Amazing songs.

We did a cruise after we graduated high school. Probably 20 of us. Shut the dance club on the boat down every night singing along to that song.

Way too many to name but this one made the short list relatively recently. First five minutes is a sludgy grind but the last two minutes was made, literally, to "f*** your speakers".

Love these kinds of stories. Only wish I’d been on that boat.

I’ve been needing a reminder to revisit that Sturg album. I would have absolutely loved to have been a fly on the wall of that motel room  when they put that album together.

Man, same here. Sturgill keeps mixing it up and it always works. Mercury in Retrograde is my personal favorite on that album.

And the old Sunday Valley ballads on the bluegrass records? So good.

That whole album blew my mind. I love Make  Art Not Friends.
