Meanwhile...CL having his best outing of the year it seems....done a great job to keep them at 6.

Not a "must win" so you go with your third starter. The game was clearly bigger than Davis though. He wasn't ready. But he will learn and AU is still in it, either tonight or tomorrow. I think it was the right choice.

Hate to use this word against college kids but that eighth inning offensive approach was pathetic. Terrible two strike approach by Josh, weakly hit grounder on a first pitch by Gillikin which should never happen, then three curveballs to get Haecker. Man gotta be much more clutch than that.
