Popular Post ellitor 33,108
Keith had a couple of great free articles over the weekend so I will combine them for the primer. The Early signing period goes from Wednesday December 19-Friday December 21. Quote ***Auburn commits expected to sign early*** -TE, Luke Deal: Early enrollee. -TE, Tyler Fromm: Early enrollee. -WR Ja'Varrius Johnson: Graduates next spring. -OL, Keiondre Jones: Graduates next spring. -DB, Cam'Ron Kelly: Early enrollee. -OL, Justin Osborne: Early enrollee. -QB, Bo Nix: Early enrollee. -LB, Owen Pappoe: Early enrollee; OVed Auburn last weekend. -DB, Nehemiah Pritchett: Will officially visit Auburn in January. -DB, Zion Puckett: Early enrollee. -DE/Buck, Colby Wooden: Early enrollee; OVed Auburn last weekend. -DB, Jaylin Simpson: Graduates next spring. ***Auburn commits not expected to sign early*** -DE, Jamond Gordon: Will officially visit Auburn and Ole Miss in January. -DE, Jaren Handy: Will officially visit Florida, LSU, Mississippi State and Ole Miss in January. -WR, George Pickens: Plans to take more officials in January. ***Auburn commits who are undecided about signing early*** -DB, Jashawn Sheffield: Graduates next spring. South Carolina trying to get involved. ***Auburn targets expected to sign early*** -RB, Noah Cain: Penn State, Texas, Auburn; will publicly announce Dec. 19. Auburn seems to be running second or third at this time for the 4-star back from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy. Right now, we think Penn State is the favorite, but Cain has told the the Tigers they are in his final group. He plans to announce his decision Wednesday (he's an early enrollee). Cain's recruitment has had many twists and turns with different programs emerging at different times. Could Auburn pull off the surprise? -LB, Nakobe Dean: Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn; will publicly announce Dec. 19. Auburn has battled hard and even got Dean to officially visit, but this feels like an Alabama-Georgia battle at this time with LSU and Ole Miss also in the mix. If Auburn were to land Dean, it would be one of the biggest surprises nationally in the 2019 class. One thing that gives the Tigers hope: Dean wants to study engineering and he's high on Auburn in that area. Again, though, this feels like a long shot. -Buck, Derick Hall: Auburn, Mississippi State, FSU, Florida, Ole Miss; will publicly announce 8 a.m. CT Dec. 19. Auburn leads in the Crystal Ball and probably is the team to beat. The Tigers seem to like their chances with Hall set to announce 8 a.m. CT Wednesday. He'll sign early and enrollee early. Mississippi State and FSU remain very much in contention, however. This certainly isn't a slam dunk. Again, though, we're told Auburn likes where it sits. -OG, William Putnam: Auburn, Clemson, FSU; could publicly announce commitment Monday or Tuesday and sign Dec. 19. Putnam, a top-100 recruit, could have a decision as early as Monday. He's down to Auburn, Clemson and FSU. Clemson has trended of late then FSU trended, but the truth is nobody seems to have a true feel for which way Putnam is leaning right now -- not even the programs recruiting him. Putnam has visited Auburn three times this year, most recently in September for his official visit. He's an early enrollee. -RB, DJ Williams: Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, currently committed to Appalachian State; will publicly announce final decision 11 a.m. CT Dec. 19. With Williams, an Appalachian State commit, set to announce his final plans Wednesday (he's an early enrollee), Williams only burst on the scene a month ago. Entering last weekend's official visit to Georgia, we considered Auburn the favorite. The Bulldogs also are in it. So is Alabama, which hasn't yet offered but could should it miss on 5-star back Trey Sanders this week. Auburn is very much a factor here, ***Auburn targets not expected to sign early*** -OG, Kamaar Bell: Auburn, Florida, Missouri; will officially visit Auburn in January. The Gators lead in the Crystal Ball, but Auburn has trended up of late. For one thing, the Tigers have intensified their recruitment of Bell. But also, Florida now has six offensive linemen committed. Bell is not an early enrollee and won’t sign this week. He plans to officially visit Auburn in January. If the Tigers miss on Putnam, look for them to go full throttle with Bell. Even if they land Putnam, they could try to add Bell, a player they believe has a high value. -LB, Octavius Brothers: Auburn, Miami, North Carolina, Syracuse; will officially visit Auburn in January. There are zero picks in for Brothers at this time. Auburn recently offered. North Carolina also is a player. Don't be surprised if Miami offers at some point. Brothers is a former UCF commit who is back on the market. He is not an early enrollee and does not at this time plan to sign with anyone this week. Auburn has visited him multiple times in recent weeks and he plans to officially visit the Tigers in January. -DT, LeDarrius Cox: Tennessee commit, Auburn; will officially visit Auburn in January. Cox continues to say he is firm with his commitment to Tennessee, but it seems as though few believe him. He won't sign this week. Look for Cox to officially visit both Auburn and OleMiss (and possibly others) in January. At this point, we'd be surprised if he sticks with the Vols. Should Auburn push, that seems to be his most likely destination. -DE, Quashon Fuller: FSU commit, Florida, Auburn. Fuller is a longtime FSU commit, but he doesn't plan to sign this week. That's good for the other schools involved, namely Auburn and Florida. Fuller officially visited the Tigers last weekend. He went into the visit with low expectations but apparently exited it liking the program much more. Can Auburn continue to hang around? The Tigers will have multiple in-home visits in January that could help. He seems fairly wide open at this time. -RB, Jamious Griffin: N.C. State commit, Auburn, Miami, Georgia; will officially visit Auburn in January. Auburn offered the 4-star back and Gatorade Player of the Year in Georgia two weeks ago. He's committed to N.C. State but does not plan to sign early. Look for Griffin to officially visit Auburn in January. If the Tigers miss on Williams, they'll probably go full throttle with Griffin. Last weekend, he officially visited Georgia Tech. This one could get interesting should Auburn end up pushing. -OT, Dawand Jones: Southern California, Ohio State, Texas, Florida, Auburn. Auburn is battling to become relevant in this recruitment. Right now, however, it seems as if Southern California is trending the most of late. Florida, Ohio State, Penn State and Texas are other programs to watch. The Tigers visited him recently and offered two weeks ago. He's an athletic tackle with a massive frame. But is this a case of too little, too late for Auburn? He's not an early enrollee so let's see if the Tigers can get him on campus. His coach recently told 247Sports National Director of Recruiting Steve Wiltfong that Jones will not sign early. -DE, Charles Moore: Mississippi State commit, Auburn. Moore is a longtime Mississippi State commit, but he says he will not sign early. Moore officially visited the Tigers last weekend and seems to be giving Auburn a long look. He's extremely close with Tigers defensive end commit Jaren Handy, another Mississippi native. Auburn appears to be a real factor here, but it might not be easy to flip Moore -- especially since he lives about 30 miles from Starkville, Miss. -RB, Mark-Antony Richards: Auburn, Penn State, Miami. Miami leads in the Crystal Ball, but many of those picks came in early during the 2019 recruiting cycle. Right now, Auburn is trending up and after his recent official visit with the Tigers it seems as though they may be in the best spot. He's not an early enrollee, however, and won't sign until February. In other words, there's a long way to go. -LB, Christopher Russell: Auburn, Tennessee; will officially visit Auburn in January. Auburn, Tennessee and Texas A&M are among the programs that have recently offered this emerging linebacker from Tennessee. At this time, he does not plan to sign early. Look for Russell to officially visit Auburn in January. While the Tigers have zero Crystal Ball picks at this time they are very much in contention. The official visit could be key to Auburn's chances of landing him. -OT, Bamidele Olaseni: Utah, Texas, Auburn. AU & Utah may have the early lead because those are the only 2 OVs he has taken. Look for him to take his other 3 OVs in January. AU likes him a lot & are hoping to land him & spend next year developing him. Other offers include Nebraska, Ohio State, & Tennessee. -DB, Maurice Hampton: LSU commit, Auburn, Ole Miss. Hampton is a top-100 recruit currently committed to LSU. He officially visited the Bayou Bengals this weekend. Last weekend, he took his official to Auburn and that program apparently is making a good push. Hampton also is an elite baseball prospect as an outfielder and he plans to play both sports in college. Right now, our intel suggests this is a two-horse race between LSU and Auburn. Hampton is not an early enrollee. If he does not sign with LSU this week, things could get interesting. https://auburn.247sports.com/Article/Auburn-Tigers-Recruiting-Early-Signing-Period-nears-126386470/ https://auburn.247sports.com/LongFormArticle/A-look-at-the-247Sports-Crystal-Ball-for-Auburn-Tigers-recruiting-targets-126427091/ 1

No. It wouldn't have primer in the title if it was. Also we are going to do what you requested last year. 1 pinned, locked ENSD thread with just one post with updates as NLIs are texted in & 1 pinned ENSD discussion thread. Both will be created late tonight/ early tomorrow morning. This thread is just to let everyone know where things are leading up to tomorrow. 1
