This has absolutely nothing to do with anything but what are the first shows that come to mind if you think of a tv series that was so good a movie was created?

South  Park, The Simpsons, Friday Night Lights except in reverse and the show was way better, I heard 21 Jump Street was good, does Batman count?, Twilight Zone, Starsky and Hutch

No, I was at all of his games and he was a game breaker type of back. Now he was not an 80 yd speed back, but under 50 he was great at getting top speed quick and taking off. He led the SEC 2 years in YPA, and in his SR year he had over 8 yds per carry. He actually had better cutting ability than Bo, which allowed him to get those extra yds.

He was a great one. Not sure why he didn't survive the NFL...

He was missing a brick or two...... good guy but not to bright. Seems to be doing well now last I heard

I would have thought Sullivan's YPA would have been higher but I'm guessing more of those bombs must have fallen in incomplete than I originally thought. He also threw a lot of quickie outs that went for short yardage.

Love seeing Phil Gargis still on top of the rushing yards.

Let's assume something that won't be true but I think it's fun to discuss regardless. Let's take the current states and multiply them by 6 (which would show us what the guys are on pace to do). I'm just going to do our current leaders.

Bo Nix

192 Comp. - 408 Att. - 2,304 yards - 18 touchdowns - 12 interceptions - 6 sacks

35 Rushes - 348 yards - 0 touchdowns

Boobee

282 Att - 1,236 yards - 6 touchdowns

Hastings

36 Rec - 678 yards - 6 touchdowns

Fullwood is my favorite Tiger of all time!  (Pat, Bo & Cam are too easy....like a 40 year old saying Tiger is his favorite golfer).

He wasn't really a bruiser.  Not that he was small but he wasn't huge at 5'11" / 200-ish LBS, I'd say.  However, he ran like a Warner Bros Cartoon character.... Legs ALWAYS spinning!  Matter of fact, though they don't physically resemble each other even remotely, I'd almost compare Shivers' running style to Fullwood.  1000 HP + 1000 LB-FT of torque...just TRY and stop'em!

Here's a nice little highlight video from one of my all-time favorite Tiger teams.

Very well put sir........trying to remember.......(google smart choice also too easy)......was Pat Sullivan or Tommy Bowden QB coach for Stan White......leaning Bowden.........reason I am trying to remember is Stan White passing TD's vs Cam Newton's passing TD's posted above by Zeek........Shows us 2 things...........how old we are and just how much offense has changed since Steve Spurrier introduced 5 wide air raid to the nation.

If one were to compare this team (roster and staff) to our 2003 team (roster and staff), I wonder what kind of conclusions they might come away with.

One major and obvious difference that makes any kind of comparison a lot less useful, but I still think about it.

That ypc for Fullwood is just insane!

I always remember him as a bruiser type back and not a big play guy, so I’m not sure I remember a lot of long runs that would skew this metric, but maybe someone else can remember.

He was the king of ‘hit and spin’. Always moving forward.

Played only 1 year as starter backup to bo most of his career. But had about a 60 yard run against bama in 1984,  in 1986 had something like a 70 yard run against Tenn was not a touchdown, and I believe a 55 yarder or so against Mississippi state. There were probably more.

It's crazy to me to think that Devan Barrett might've been the next, best thing. GM has had so much talent that hasn't panned out.

I'm not saying that as a shot at GM, just unfortunate luck.

Yep...would be nice to see guys like that do well but it is rare for an AU transfer to be a starter at another Power 5 program....sometimes the talent level is misjudged.  SEC is a huge step up from HS.

First of all, if Bo stays healthy for 4 years he will likely own the AU QB record books!

Secondly, I think Seth Williams will be our next 1,000 yard receiver if he stays healthy.

Daniel Carlson was amazing!!!

I'm very curious to see how Bo pans out when it's all said and done! The selfish part of me wants him to stay all 4 years and set all of the QB records.

If he can average 200 yards for the remainder of the season then he'll of passed for 2,300+ which is manageable; if he keeps up his passing touchdown rate he'll add another 10 touchdowns for a total of 17 (which if he stayed all 4 years and kept the same average would put him at 68). 8,016 yards is the current record held by Stan White and 54 touchdowns is the record held by Pat Sullivan.

So, at his current performance level he could break all the records in 4 years. If he continues to improve, then there's not telling how high he could soar or how quickly.

@Zeek   I expect him to get better as the year goes on, but I don’t expect to see much difference in the stats considering the competition moving forward.    I also expect what many will perceive as a “Sophomore Slump” because he will have a very inexperienced, untested OL next year.   Who knows after that🤷‍♂️ too many variables.   He has the heart and the tools to be very special!

Some updates from our major performers this week.

Bo Nix is 30th in attempts with 169, 27th in completions with 95, 24th in yards with 1,301, and tied for 20th with Barrett Trotter for touchdowns at 11. Congrats to Bo for being in the top 25 of passing yards.

Kam Martin our 28th in rushing yards with 1,489. He now has carried the ball 30th most in Auburn history with 270 carries.

Worm Shivers is now 76th in rushing yards with 543, 96th in attempts with 102, and 87th in rushing touchdowns with 4.

I’m including Harold Joiner for the first time now that I believe he might start receiving some more carries. He is 232nd in attempts with 11, 129th in rushing touchdowns with 2, and 193rd in rushing yards with 87.

DJ Williams had the most carries today and will he added to the updates. Currently 204th with 18 attempts, 198th in yards with 80, and NR in TDs.

Malik is 118th in attempts with 75, 111th in yards with 297, and 76th in touchdowns with 5.

Seth Williams had 90 yards with only 4 receptions! Feed him. He is now 57th in receptions with 51, 29th in receiving yards with 992, and tied for ELEVENTH in receiving touchdowns with 12. Today he passed Slayton.

Schwartz is now 91st in receptions with 33 (he should get this many in each season), 71st in receiving yards with 540 yards, 66th in receiving touchdowns with 3.

Some other players recorded stats but aren’t quite worth tracking yet. War Eagle!
