TitanTiger 20,469 Posted August 23, 2012 Share Posted August 23, 2012 Sometimes it becomes apparent that someone isn't here to engage in reasonable discussion, but merely is here to insult and make exaggerated claims and accusations to get a reaction out of people. After a while, the best thing to do is simply stop responding to them. That's easier if you never have to read their nonsense to begin with. To ignore a user, click on your name at the very top left of the page and select Ignore User Prefs. On that page, enter the user's name and check the boxes for the content you want to ignore on the right, then hit Save Changes. I don't think this is something to be used just for people who disagree with your views, bur rather just for those who have proven themselves unable to have a debate without insults and inflammatory nonsense like a mature adult.
