Bama Game #5

Recommended Posts

Kendrick announced as starter. If I recall, it was his work against Bama earlier in the season to got him moved into a starter role and the team turned around not long after that. Happy for him to get this opportunity.

His continual work from the pen got his starts later. His first start was 3 and a half weeks after that game at the Gump. It was also against Bama. We lost but the defense let him down and they later did versus Miss St. He gave up 2 earned runs in both games while the D allowed 4 unearned in both. Conner was good in every game as a starter except his Ole Miss start. While he did not have his best stuff he battled through it giving up 4 runs in 6 innings pitched. Auburn won 5 of Conner's 8 starts and it very well could have been 7 of 8 had the bad news tigers defense not shown up in 2 of his starts. In his starts the team ERA has been an impressive 1.75

We don't have a first pitch time yet do we?

30-35 minutes after the end of game 1

Hoping Kendrick can repeat his Montgomery performance. Its been awhile since we have made noise in SEC tourney but the way this team has turned it around there's a chance we could this year

Tried to get in a run down with runners on the corner, struck out and then wacker gets tagged out before Kelley could score. Garrett cooper hit a scorcher that was caught that advanced Kelley to third.

Had coopers ball had any height on it, they might still be waiting for it to land

Ebert with a weak infield single scores savage, ball just dribbled under the hustling pitchers glove. 3-1 auburn, still 2 outs, top 3rd

Swinging bunt....another RBI 3-1 AU now and Bama pitcher has already thrown about 6 innings worth of pitches

Kendrick also throwing a lot of pitches.....probably nerves for both of them. Well soon as I comment, Kendrick gets the next two batters on a couple pitches....very nice inning for AU.

Single for tomscha, blake austin looking to sac.

success, 1 out, tomscha to second.

Kelley strikes out, 2 outs.

Wacker grounds out to second, headed bot 4th.

More poor mental errors for AU, and uat has runners on 2nd and 3rd. With one out. Now they have an RBI singe and it's 3-2. 1 out, runners at the corners.
