Gotta love it when our top target is a QB who is committed to another school. :/ Well at least he is giving us a real look. He's planning on visiting AU for a 3rd time soon & hopes to get his parents to come as well. Only way Mond ends up at AU is if Art leaves Baylor. Gus should have taken the kid that recommitted to Miami. He was ready to commit to AU but Gus slow played him for Lowell. Lowell would only return the AU coaches calls about half the time. Just speak to what you feel is reality. If people can't handle it then that's on them. We both know we are behind in 2017 and getting pounded on the recruiting trail. Gogue places more emphasis on making money & graduating student athletes over winning. As long as those things keep happening like they are it don't appear there will be much change at all. Step back from the ledge. 2010 - National Champs 2011 - ok 2012 - bad 2013 - Played in the BCS title game 2014 - ok 2015 - .500 team That's not sustained bad play and this is nothing like the late 70s. If third time's a charm for Gus with Barrett, and if we don't add anyone too difficult OOC, 2018 could mean a run. ^ Five years would count as what I voiced concern over. He's landed Cam Newton, Kiehl Frazier, Jeremy Johnson, maybe Joey Gatewood... those are some solid names. And I love that he's going after the best. Do you seriously not want him to even try for a Deshaun Watson? Now if he's got no traction with a kid like WDE pointed out with Narcisse, then yeah, he should be working on Plan B.
