Trump rally cancelled in Chicago due to safety concerns

The reason there are no protestors at a Hillary or Bernie rally is simple. NEITHER OF THEM ENGAGE IN HATEFUL RHETORIC towards Hispanics, blacks, or Muslims.

Neither does Trump.

But Hillary does engage in hateful rhetoric against everyone else.

Have you HEARD Trump speak? Almost everything that comes out of his mouth is a hateful insult.

http://www.nytimes.c...sults.html?_r=0

See what you just did there ? You moved the goal posts. You went from Trump engaging IN HATEFUL RHETORIC towards Hispanics, blacks, or Muslims, and now expanded it to his tweets and over all demeanor, against EVERYONE !

I'm not fan of Trump. But even so, I won't stand by and blindly allow him to be blamed for things of which he's not guilty. And I sure as hell am not buying that he and his followers are the only ones at fault here when it comes to violence. If ANYTHING , they indeed are the victims.

So he is not quilty of hateful rhetoric? My definition of hateful must be different from yours. He has threatened to ban Muslims from this country, he has threatened to deport Mexicans, and he has insulted every GOP candidate. Trump is only good at insults, that's it,

Nope he is a very successful businessman, getting out way more voters than in a long time, defying almost 100% of the so-called political pundits and sending a message to the good ole boys GOP club. Plus he got the endorsement of Ben Carson, the least insulting of them all and the one I voted for in the Alabama primary. He for sure smarter than the others in one way......spending less money (his own) and getting more free TV time. If elected POTUS he won't have all the IOUs Hillary would bring to the table.

And so the rationalization begins. Trump's not so bad chants getting louder.

Not rationalization just reality. What did I say that is not true? I was simply responding to Elle's post if that's OK.

Here's some reality for you slick.

Well sailor boy you just go vote for Sanders if you like him so much. You choose to ignore that I have said many times here I didn't vote for Trump in the Alabama primary and haven't been a supporter. But is people like you that are driving people to Trump. Looks like the people of Florida get it and Ohio is close. The protesters are just driving Trump's lead up. I know these won't be to your liking but take a peek.

If you don't know it would be a waste of my time to tell you. But as your girl Hillary would say "what difference does it make." See my last post above.

The hate charge as is with the racism charge is a slippery definition. The "protesters" use brown shirt tactics to shut down anything they don't like. They use "hate" or "racism" or "micro aggression" to stop any dissenting thought or speech.

Socialism is a form of hatred. Socialism hates success. Bernie supports a form of anarchy and make the despicable Hillary Rodham seem rational.

Socialism is an enemy of freedom and liberty. It "hates" individual liberty.

Shut down what? The only think I heard that was shut down was the Chicago rally by the Trump campaign without even talking to the police.

Most of what I have seen are physical assaults on people being led out of rallys by security.

No saying no one has a right to disrupt a speech - they deserve to be led out - but I think you have got the physical aggression backwards in terms of where it's coming from.

Of course, If you are in accord with Raptor, all those scenes of "Bernie supporters" attacking Trump supporters is being edited out of all the footage by the "MSM".

If Trump's support is so violent, why aren't they out going to other candidates campaigns/rallies and causing problems and disrupting other events?

It's more like Trump's support that is violent is isolated to wherever a Trump event is, not spilling over to other events.

LOL at the peaceful protest narrative. Just because they're not physically assaulting people, that makes them peaceful.... I guess yelling and trying to take over an event by rushing the stage or arguing with Trump supporters are really constructive and create a peaceful atmosphere.

No one should have to face assault or violence but don't go provoking it or trying to incite chaos by being hostile to views that are different from the "peaceful" protesters.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with protesting in opposition to Trump at one of his rallys as long as it doesn't directly interfere with the rally. In fact, it's beneficial to our political discourse.

I am not a Trump fan, but most of the hate is coming from the left. Rules for radicals in action.

Sure you aren't....

No I am not, but your ilk are making him more palatable.

I always thought that was a razor sharp defense. Some things just take too long to explain. ;)

But that's not their intent. They want to shut down Trump's rally's. The protesters openly cheered that he shut down the rally. That's what they wanted. That's their goal.

http://www.cnn.com/2016/03/11/politics/donald-trump-chicago-protests/

Supporters of Trump still inside chanted "We want Trump" after the event was canceled. Protesters, meanwhile, shouted "We shut s*** down" and "We stumped Trump." Others chanted "Bernie" as supporters whipped out Bernie Sanders campaign signs.

Maria Hernandez, a 25-year-old community organizer, broke out into dance as a Trump campaign staffer announced that the rally had been canceled.

"I've never been more proud of my city," Hernandez told CNN.

Ahhh, so many things to reply to....

GiveEmElle: saying "scientists" believe current native americans are among the first inhabitants to this continent is kind of misleading. There is several different theories that are popular among the historical community.

To Swype talk: Swype sucks! I tried it and I was horrible at it.

To Cole: I feel like you had a few drinks before tonight's posting, as I got what you were saying usually, but the point was kinda esoteric, other recent threads went the same way.

.... although maybe I'm just too out of the loop.

I don't drink and it's not hard, at several rallies men and women were attacked at trump rallies by his supporters. I'll be more specific, in North Carolina a guy was being escorted out of the rally and one man sucker punched while the crowd cheered and of course security jumped the guy sucker punched. The guy that punched him is a mini hero and is on tape saying if I see him again I might kill him.....

Another rally a woman was being escorted out and one trump supporter punched her in the back of her head, another ran out and pushed her, then when she turned to see who did it the guy escorting her out pushed her hard enough for her to experience some whiplash and when she turned around and said don't push her he became angry and start pushing more aggressively.

These are a couple incidents before the Chicago rally, as you can see on this board there aren't people leaning towards the right that gives a crap that happened. Nobody was remorseful or sad at the state of anything then.....

Now obviously once people of color start seeing video of this they will get agitated and that played as big of a role as anything as far as the anger felt. So it's my opinion it's stupid as hell to point the finger at Obama or anybody else or say anything about race and try to ignore what is actually the main reason for what's going on right now. There have been multiple threads that have multiple pages yet the only person to mention this very important variable is me.....

cool of you to to go into more detail for me, since I didn't get what you were talking about at first. I haven't read about most of that, but the 1st guy you brought up was jailed. I watched the video of that, some drunk hick sucker punched a protestor... he was jailed, though I don't know if Trump actually paid for his court fees or not.

The reactions above were after Trump's campaign folded.

Well Move On is doubling down...yeah they have already endorsed Sanders and are now raising funds for further disruptions to Trump...Link

"Disruptions" was the WP editor's term.

“Last night, without consulting local police, Donald Trump abruptly cancelled a rally in Chicagoin the face of massive and overwhelmingly peaceful student-led protests,” MoveOn.org wrote in an email Saturday to members. “We’re being flooded with aggressive emails and social media posts from Trump supporters. Some of them are threatening. We refuse to be intimidated by Donald Trump, Fox News, or anyone else.”.....

“So here’s the plan: We’ll support MoveOn.org members to call out and nonviolently protest Trump’s racist, bigoted, misogynistic, xenophobic, and violent behavior — and show the world that America rejects Trump’s hate,” the email read. “And to keep it going, we’re counting on you to donate whatever you can to cover the costs of everything involved — the organizers, signs, online recruitment ads, training, and more.”

But when it happened did you see what they did with the protester? And I haven't seen that the man was arrested but I did see he left the protest walking with his head held high with his dignity. Who on this board that has used the phrase thugs, animals, criminals and all of that even say this guy was wrong? It's sad that people are really trying to sweep this under the rug as if it's nothing. Seriously like that really doesn't have anything to do with the anger involved.

Then the Trump campaign gave them exactly what they wanted. The police were a "go".

But your whole basis is that they're just there to protest and that Trump supporters are violent. Yet when protesters go to such lengths and are willing to provoke and incite the reaction of some Trump supporters to where safety is a concern then they know exactly what they're doing. These protesters are actively trying to create an environment that can cause a concern for a shut down. It's by design. They are yelling and cussing at Trump supporters. They are not merely protesting Trump but actively antagonizing Trump supporters.

Everyone that participates in the violence and provokes the violence should be held responsible. Both the violent Trump supporters and protesters are causing the safety concerns.

Well homer what do you call it? Look you have an organization that is funded by Soros raising money to ensure there are protests at one candidates rallies. So what are they afraid of? Trump? All the left seems to think that H will win. Oh and move on is supporting Sanders so by the line of thinking that has been presented by posters on this forum, Sanders is endorsing this behavior...just like others including you have said trump endorses the kkk...

Hey homie here is a

of the protesters disrupting inside vice outside...I wonder what would happen if this type of thing occurred at a sanders rally...

The people that were assaulted didn't do anything wrong whatsoever
