@McLoofus ...so quiet. I'm on a three week detail at Tensas River NWR. I literally saw a herd(?) of black bears in a pecan orchard this morning. 8 bears. 8 BEARS.

@AUsince72 that's a great description! There are times at work that I am completely overwhelmed with God's brushstroke in nature. I am brought to quiet tears several times a year.

Sun Tornado...the loudest quiet band in existence.

This is the appropriate way to relay this information via text IMHO.

I was literally screaming "NOF'INWAY!!!!' to myself in the truck. It was hilariously amazing.

Then I sent that exact text to my wife. 8 BEARS.

Bravo, my good man. Bravo.

Whoa. Guessing you can't get a direct flight from Atlanta.

As it sounds like you are there to feed folks, I'm guessing there is a food supply issue. But what is the local cuisine? I think I see yurts. Do they eat marmots? So many questions.

It takes a few connecting flights to get there.

I usually fly out of Birmingham, from there it’s usually Detroit Chicago or Atlanta. From there it’s to Seoul, Beijing or Tokyo and then into Ulaanbaatar.

I’m there to share the Gospel, but I work with a feeding station, a rescue mission for Unsheltered alcoholics and a prison ministry. Through these different ministries we can help people in need and their biggest need is salvation.

Food is an issue in the area of the feeding center, we feed hungry children. Some of whom live in the nearby city dump because they have been abandoned by their (usually) alcoholic parents.

Yes those are gers in the picture. There are many ger districts that outline the inner city. They are made up of Gobi nomads who have moved and left their pastoral lives, but they keep their gers to live in because of limited housing. Local cuisine is pretty much sheep meat and the various ways to prepare it.They do eat horse and camel meat. Yes, they eat marmots in the Gobi but it’s illegal to bring them in the city because the marmots carry the plague.😳

Just me, though. Wife and kids stayed home. My neighbors did roll their trees though. Cecilia got to participate.

You found the Hundred Acre Woods!!

That would be a lot of fun to hang a sign over the door that reads "Mr. Sanders" and then take my grandson to see it.

Sorry, I'm a big old (not ole) kid. :)
