Ole Miss football has proved to be nothing if not a loop of terrible decisions that yield brief, spectacular successes doomed to father more of the same.

A guy I worked with and around the last few years, Phil longo, was hired as their OC. If he can muster anything this year on O, he would be a good HC for them.

So, we battling for any of their recruits?

I think he ends up at BU

TBH, I'm kind'a clueless re: Recruiting (among other topics). With the clouds hanging around their program of late, has Ole Miss even been able to attract anyone we'd want?

Wow, this is absurd.  If the escorts were arranged for recruits and not him personally, I think the NCAA is going to have to get creative with reasons for not giving them the Death Penalty.  Hate to see fans of any program have to go through this.  Hard to believe this administration lacks any semblance of competence regarding this whole saga.

Wonder if Auburn could get Shea Patterson to transfer over.  No point wasting a talent like that in a dumpster fire

I've seen this elsewhere- and this is not directed at you Win- but why on Earth do we want that guy all of the sudden?

Patterson is a player, but IF he did transfer, I don't see us being an interesting party. I don't know what Stidham will do this season, but I'm going to bet that we have him for two years. Willis and other talent behind that. Patterson wouldn't fit in.

That being said, Ole Miss burned his redshirt last season. They still have a lot of talent on the outside. Tough situation for everyone on that team right now, but I can't see him leaving.

If I was Kevin Sumlin I'd be driving the moving truck to Oxford as we speak.  He needs an experienced qb in the worst way.

Except Patterson isn't that experienced. He's started three games. And, he'll have to sit out a year, so Sumlin wouldn't exactly be getting much help.

The guy was once a good guy, but has become a total fraud. Has embarrassed everyone. What a shame. Power? Money? Pressure to win? Whatever it was, he sacrificed his principles & became a fake in most all aspects.

They were saying on the radio this am that NCAA will likely grant players ability to play immediate if they transfer.  So I don't think he would sit a year assuming that guy was accurate in what he was saying about NCAA

Oh really? Well that's definitely something to keep an eye on.

I think I read Shea's dad saying, if there were a mass exodus of players, he could see Shea leaving.

To me, that assumes the NCAA granting free leave.

Not sure Patterson would consider AU now. With Stidham in place, and our backups, and recruiting possibilities, I bet he does not consider us. He would have a much easier time at LSU.

I am not sure Ole Miss would release him to another SEC team though. It might be best for Patterson just to stay where he is.

Nope. They wont even get a sniff from any reputable coach with experience.  Not a chance.
