Curious as to your purpose for posting this? Everyone knows there are potential clotting issues with the Astrazeneca vaccine. However, it is also not used nearly as much as the Pfizer, Moderna, and even the J&J vaccines, at least in the States. Good thing you can choose to use another, right?

Oh, and the Astrazeneca vaccine is still safer than getting Covid. But I'm sure you knew that.

certainly was not safer for her -- she's dead.

Are you saying she had zero chance to die if she had contracted Covid?

Good luck. I can't any more with the ones that live on a flat planet.

Fit 43 year old.  Data would say tiny fraction of 1%.  There is 100% chance she is dead now.

Apparently you smoked weed through Basic Reasoning at Auburn.

And the mortality rate of the Astrazeneca vaccine is an even tinier fraction.

What do you have to say about the number of unvaccinated people that have died, and are still dying? Are you saying they should not have gotten the vaccine, anyway?

I love the irony in this post.

Damn, some of you are dense.  I am sure the family of that lady has peace because of your stats.

I have said, on this site, multiple times.  The elderly and those with medical conditions should get vaccinated.  Or if it just makes you feel better, fine, get vaccinated.  Perfectly healthy people getting vax'ed only makes you feel better.

It is clear that vax'ed people still get and transmit COVID.  Those of us 'idiots' who choose not to get vax'ed are no more risk to you than your friends that are vax'ed.

No point in continuing. This far into the game, if you truly believe that a person, of whatever age, is no better protected by taking the vaccine, and is actually more at risk due to the vaccine itself, then no amount of information is going to change your mind. Just say it - you're going to believe vaccines are useless no matter what you hear.

It's laughable that you accuse others of being dense and incapable of logic when you won't even address the data put in front of you.

Would laugh if there weren't so many like him.

And the thing is, there's not even any "other team" to fight against. It's not the media, it's not Fauci, it's not Democrats, it's not people of color, it's not atheism, it's not homosexuality, it's not political correctness, it's not the Taliban, it's not China, it's not socialism, it's not abortion... Like, the vaccine is not of or for any of those groups or things. Straight, white, rich, male, conservative Americans are taking the vaccine just like everyone else and they are doing fine.

There's literally no angle to people behaving like this guy. Like a troll except in his real life behavior.

As I said in another thread, a huge portion of the Republican Party has become so blinded by outrage that they don't even know who the enemy is anymore. We're fighting a disease, but they see just about any mitigation strategy as an attack on their freedom.

Now you are taking advice from a journalism professor?  Maybe he does not understand that kids are just as likely to contract COVID from the vax'ed as the non vax'ed?

That's just not true.  Vaccinated people are less likely to become infected than are unvaccinated people.   And breakthrough infections are relatively rare: https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/here-are-the-most-common-covid-symptoms-in-vaccinated-people/2453114/

As long as unvaccinated people exist in large numbers, your kids are far more likely to contract covid from an unvaccinated person, especially if vaccinated people observe masking and distancing, which common sense would suggest they are more diligent about this than the unvaccinated.

They've become libertarians with a lot of hate added in.

And how many folks are 100% dead from covid?

You really don't understand how to evaluate risk. Did you even notice this from your own BBC post?

"The clots are considered extremely rare - there have been 417 reported cases and 72 deaths - after 24.8 million first doses and 23.9 million second doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine in the UK."

Dumbass -- learn to read.  I said all old people and people with issues should get vaccinated.

I see that the way I worded it implied that I was talking about all ages. It was meant to say that you think the vaccine does nothing for anyone that is not old.

Regardless, considering your stance on the vaccine's effectiveness, @Didba's post about irony looms again.

For the record, I haven't resorted to name-calling. I could certainly say that you're dumb as a box of rocks, but why bother? Your posts speak it louder than I ever could.

I didn't say you did. I suggested that you go ahead and say it, since it's apparent.

Do you really want to keep doing this to yourself?
