I am the Biggest Screwup I know. Hands down. So if he has changed, then I can support him.

Thank you for sharing Tigerpro.  I really hope some of this comes out tomorrow in his press conference.  Every Auburn fan needs to hear this.  We all are broken, we all have made mistakes (some larger than others), but how do you respond?  What things have you put in place to ensure something like that does not happen again?  Are you defeated or can you make a comeback?  My hope and prayer is that he continues the comeback.  Will be interesting to see how he handles this backlash and negativity.  I hope he handles it with grace.  I'm pulling for him.

Great post here. How is he going to react when opposing fan bases attack him and the team? What’s his approach? AU is a much bigger job than anything he has ever had. If he focuses solely on this team and this league he will win championships. Caddy will be the best influence on him. It’s a great match

I look forward and hope Coach Cad William's is rewarded and make Asst. Head Coach. He could be a huge help to Coach Freeze and a fast adapting to the Auburn fan base.

Brother with CHF and Coach Caddy our guys will be Champions no matter what the win/loss record is. He must have one hell of a wife, any woman could have bailed on him, took the money and ran but she stuck beside her man. If I get egg on my face for supporting him then so be it. I can wipe it off.

I believe he is a very good FB coach. It seems to always come down to a few, and only a few, coaches who would even consider AU. Instead of us paring down the list of candidates, its the candidates who eliminate us from consideration. Until we can change the reality of our situation, this is who we are. Freeze hopefully will be that guy. Its done and I'm ready to let him shape my perception of him as a coach and person. Cannot forget his past but can forgive. Paying players has finally been moved above the table instead of acting like its a crime only if you get caught. Commitment to family is another matter. If his family is okay, then I am okay.

I saw that video yesterday and was impressed with his ability to communicate which should go a long way with the players.  Agree, his wife could have "cut bait" but they worked to resolve the issue.

This . It could really change perception and allow for a collaboration to boost the PR.

Kiffen was never serious about the AU job. Ole Miss just gave a raise and contract extension to a guy who lost 4 out of his last 5 games.  He was playing us from the start.  It is rare to drag a successful head coach away from an existing top tier team. That's why you usually see schools hire coordinators from top schools or up and coming coaches from smaller schools.  I think our boosters just wanted Freeze all along and let Kiffen play us to make it more acceptable to hire him.  They knew Kiffen wouldn't come.  All the talk about him and Dabo and others was just a smoke screen.  They are probably in a back room right now smoking cigars, celebrating Freeze's hire,  and laughing about what Ole Miss had to pay Kiffen.

I wish I would have seen this 2 weeks ago!  My perception of CHF has made a 180. I'm glad we now have a coach who WANTS to be at Auburn and who will recruit!  I wish the best for Hugh Freeze and hope that through his hard work and dedication to Auburn will translate into wins which will unify the fan base.  I want Hugh Freeze to win and to retire/finish his career out while coaching here at Auburn University!

I think hiring away one or two of kiffin's top assistants would go a long way with recruits. We all know kiffin is going to use all this with recruits, bad mouthing freeze and AU to try to swing some recruits his way. Easy way to counter that is to say, look his own assistants know he screwed up by not going to AU, it's a better place with more tradition and resources.

Great post, and great message. It's hard to watch that and not get convicted about how you view him for what he did. Everyone on this board needs to see it, even if half won't actually listen
