I have zero confidence we will ever be able to sign a single meaningful recruit from Phenix city, our own back yard…why is Auburn like this???

We get embarrassed on the recruiting trail at least once every year since forever.

The recruits just gotta see us put together another miracle season that has a 5% chance of happening. If we do not have the $ for NIL, it may be time to quit the SEC.

Even then, we don’t do/get jack as a result from recruiting

Nobody saw this coming. Nobody. TAM did not even think they were in it… and
there were 3 mods that picked CC to AU just last night.

Welcome to auburn recruiting Hugh. If there is a player at CPC that Auburn wants, you won’t get him. Period. End of story. It is so unreal. Anywhere but AU…

ok rant over hahaha happy 4th everyone.

Ok, but can you see how this doesn’t exactly instill confidence going forward that we can compete in this new era? Literally all a program has to do now is drop the bag.

FWIW, my son who is an Aggie and showed me some TexAgs stuff a couple of weeks ago that indicated they felt very good about him. Apparently has relatives in College Station.

He essentially lives in Auburn with all of his immediate family

Pretty much any elite recruit we’re after, the competition Orion is going to feel confident.

I’m aware but now he’s going to be seeing more of his other relatives apparently. Frustrating.

But can't you see your constant moaning and groaning about everything is old.

Well damn. This feels very familiar.

Right. Most of us should know by now, not to get excited over any recruit as more often than not the recruit ends up somewhere else. This is not a new thing for Auburn

ya'll act shocked.  This is very simple.   The most $$$$ wins out.  Until we step up our NIL efforts, this will be the norm.   Why is it so shocking?   What would you do?

Grown men way too emotional about where some kid decides to play football.

I still hope we land this guy, but Geez.

Well, we aren't ever going to compete financially with Texas A&M.

That's exactly what little Nicky was whining about last year.

It’s just a shame everything is only about the money. There are other variables that should be taken into consideration but they no longer seem to matter to many in the least.
